We should really be looking to see if the NHS can treat people suffering so horribly with SDS.

He hid his close friendship with the world's most famous paedo then gets £75.000!

I'm just surprised they didn't put him up in a hotel.

Starmer is done. He simply has to go if this is true.

in a crowded field for me this is starmer's worse piece of judgement and his claims about what transpired are not honest.

standards in public life just seem to get worse and worse.

All ok here thanks jolly, hope you are the same.

I'm not sure if it was the official motto but it was a constant feature in my years at the Math :

"Knowledge is a steep which few may climb, whilst duty is a path that all must tread".

Apparently its a slight rewording of a historical quote by some guy called Lewis Morris. Think he may have been a writer/poet although one of the founding fathers went by that name as well.

Prefects used to delight giving out 50 or 100 "knowledges" instead of lines to us lower oiks for indiscretions, although the main disher out of them was the English teacher, Nick "Ben" Gunn. The quote was seared on my brain given how many times i had to write it out Laugh

dixie, i wasnt taught by ben gunn but i think i remember the name so he must have still been there when i was. i remember a latin teacher who gave out something similar, i remember them being called 'standard sentences'. for me it is all a bit hazy, you have a much better memory.

jolly, i found a webpage a while back with a load of our old teachers photos on it together with pupils amusing comments Happy unfortunately it seems to have disappeared, it was on a site called abelian.org , i will keep searching.

In the meantime there is a facebook page with a photo of the staff on the main page - just click on it to enlarge it. I reckon this was taken early 80s so it may refresh your memory - see how many you recognise
