..... Any mention of the death rate dropping after she got banged up ?

The jury saw more evidence than you ever will OP,and they found her guilty. The woman is a monster.
|
|
By:
And the expert medical panel said the medical evidence was rubbish, and the Royal Statistical Society said the statistical evidence was rubbish.
The main reason for finding Letby guilty is the sheer volume of circumstantial evidence, but let us recognise it is only circumstantial. Maybe she did murder those babies, or at least some of them, but the law, or the criminal justice process from trial to appeal, is, as they say, a donkey. |

.Following the removal of Lucy Letby from the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital in July 2016 and her subsequent arrests, the rate of unexpected baby deaths and collapses dropped significantly, returning to normal levels. Immediate Drop: After Letby was removed from the unit in 2016, the, high number of deaths and sudden collapses stopped. Long-Term Data: In the years following her removal from the unit, there was only one death recorded in seven years. So those figures " Dont prove anything " ?? |
|
By:
Also in 2016, the neonatal unit was downgraded to level one meaning it no longer treated difficult cases.
So there's your alternative explanation for the drop in death rates after Letby was removed. |

Pan , at what point have I mentioned Letby is innocent , I said there is summat wrong at the Hospital
as for the Evidence from what I have seen bar her shift patterns and writing strange notes ,there is not alot |
|
By:
of course police did not investigate deaths after letby left - the hospital never asked them to - as they had with the letby killings. the police don't investigate everyone who dies in hospital
letby's obviously guilty - complete monster - will never be released |

There is zero evidence to back that statement up, daughter worked on a neonatal unit, she was newly qualified she was given 5 seriously ill babies to manage within her first few weeks, she approached the head nurse and expressed her concern of, in her opinion, the number she was expected to look after as they were seriously unwell and my D thought it was not safe to be putting that sort of pressure on a newly qualified nurse, very little support, D was told get used to it love its like this all the time, south wales unit, D transferred to chest meds and is doing very well. Her opinion on Letby, having worked there, 50/50 undecided, certainly more to this than the scapegoat.. |

There are plenty so entrenched in their 'guilty' opinion,
if she ever gets off, many of them simply won't accept it. |

Our judicial system is polluted by wrong convictions.

13 deaths - letby on duty for 10 of them - went off-duty an hour before the deaths of 2 others. guilty as fck and will never be released

AT getting very violent about it , dear me , calm down man

I wonder if AT was involved in the old Landlord thread on Chit Chat back in the day ?

Btw I had mentioned your cast iron evidence AT
"from what I have seen bar her shift patterns" |

By:
The bloke who was wrongly locked up, had been in the restaurant 10 mins before the actual raid , hows yer luck

I'd ask any one who still thinks Letby is guilty is look through all the evidence Private Eye magazine has collected that clears her-there's tons of it.
Basically the prosecution pushed all the evidence suggesting a relationship between Letby's presence and the baby deaths, and both prosecution AND defense failed to produce any evidence that exhonerated at...despite the fact there was TONS of it. To use an analogy if you remember all the times you shaved before your favourite team won on Saturday footy, and ignored all the other times it didn't, you convince yourself shaving caused your team to win. What happened to Letby is actually as stupid as that. |
|
By:
What is this "tons of evidence" that clears her name ? Brief summary will do.
She has had her day in court (and an appeal) - that was the time to present the case for the defence. You can't just lose and then go searching for new experts - you'll always find them somewhere. She needs new evidence for a retrial , not just new expert opinions. |
|
By:
An expert witness who gave evidence at the trial of Lucy Letby was under investigation for allegedly “harming patients” at the time he testified.
Professor Peter Hindmarsh was placed under investigation by the General Medical Council (GMC) on the same day he first appeared in court during Letby’s trial. Incredible and Shocking , "THE SAME DAY " |
|
By:
Did any one not think it might not be the best Idea to put this guy on the stand ?
This whole case is a Shambles Based on Derragned Scrall(She had probably lost the Plot ) on bits of Paper, and work Schedules , |
|
By:
I like most folks thought this young lady was guilty , trusting British Justice and the NHS
|
|
By:
Professor Hindmarsh reported a doctor for giving puberty blockers to a 9yo and testosterone to a 12yo. Allegations were then made against him - the GMC investigated but there have not been any adverse findings. He retired in 2024 and was made an Emeritus Professor by his employer University College London

What was going on at this Hospital ?

The man who can never accept he is wrong (not Rico) says she definitely done it.
|
|
By:
I was in that Camp to begin with , but I didn't know much about the case , its now hard to know what else has been overlooked or Perhaps covered up
This looks like it could end with a retrial of Letby , feel for the parents if they have to go through it all again |
|
By:
People who cannot admit they are wrong often suffer from fragile egos, deep-seated insecurity, or a fear of shame, causing them to use defense mechanisms like denial, projection, or attacking others. They often view being wrong as a personal flaw rather than a mistake, sometimes stemming from childhood, and may shift blame to maintain a "perfect" self-image.

AT what odds you lay me that there is a retrial of Letby ?

No chance must be 1000 , Ill have a tenner

This looks like it could end with a retrial of Letby
what would you say are the odds of retrial? |
|
By:
Not a Clue but I didn't say no chance
|
|
By:
As her appeal is partly statistical, then for
you tou understand that, you should find pricing up chances of a retrial a mere bagatelle |

you to

Bottom line is the NHS is a cesspit. Days of old when nurses were nurses are long and gone. They are now just a gun to the governments head and have been for a few years. Something drastic has to happen. It just can't carry on like this. And when I say cesspit, I mean people doing nothing to explain their wage and existence apart from when they want to strike to prove one or the other. It used to be a vocation, now just a vacation.
