Anyone read the book or seen the film?

According to the Observer the book is a bag of lies. I don't understand
the need to make a fictional movie based on a 'true story' which isn't at all. Let us know what you think. |

I tend to avoid anything that has 'based on' in the blurb.
They change a lot, sometimes everything. No problem if you haven't read the book and it's just a good film. |

Leaving out that the embezzlements, running away from debts and the likelihood that the husband has simply faked his illness is a little more than artistic licence I reckon.
