Let's hope there's an end to all the borrowing to pay dividends for failure!

Ofwat should be disbanded and a new regulator brought in completely.

Yep, they can pay their dividends out of the cash
they extract from users, whilst pumping shite into
our water ways, shouldn't need to borrow too much.

Kerching.

Hypocrisy central: Ireland pumps millions of gallons of pish into the seas ,yet our resident "green glasses" correspondent forgets to mention and yhtl wrote reams about sewage going into UK lakes ,rivers and seas being brexit related.............
How EU countries were withholding a mysterious unnamed chemical from us because of brexit and this chemical was essential in turning pish into clean water ,ludicrous of course but likely gleaned from the Guardian.

It is brexit related, I'm pleased you remembered.

Read Kevin O'Sullivan....science editor,,,,Irish times 23 October 2018 ,explaining how Ireland  ,an EU member disperses millions of gallons of raw sewage around it's coasts/rivers/lakes.
The same person updated ...Irish times 20 October 2022 ,quoting Ireland's EPA.
"only half of Ireland's sewage was treated to EU standards in 2021".
The EU itself only meets 90% of its own current standards. Many countries disgracefully disperse sewage into the oceans and the UK is indeed one of them.
Only billions of pounds investment can solve it ,not fairy dust and magical non existent EU chemicals.

It's worse than that, I'm afraid.

Water bills are set to rise plus inflation.

Water bills in England and Wales will soar by 36% over the next five years after the regulator increased the amount companies are allowed to charge.

Ofwat said that average bills will rise by £31 a year over the next five years, hitting £597 by 2030, before inflation is added. That money will be used by regional monopoly suppliers to operate the water system and invest in upgrades – as well as to provide a financial return for investors.

Yhtl: in the part of your life where you were vaguely useful ,teaching.......science was plainly not your speciality.
Otherwise you would know that sewage treatment in the UK ,is a time sensitive bacterial process ,hence it overloads after heavy rain (rainwater/sewage mix) and the system has to release......most dreadfully of course.
You also should know this magical apparently EU available only ,chemical you eulogise about would have a name and formula ,if it existed.
I would love to know of a chemical only available to EU members and not available in America/Asia etc etc ,so would ICI etc etc
With your remainer zealotry you confuse the bible with the Guardian ,jesus turned water into wine.....not pish into water.

Lol, you are simply thick.

There are so many links I have provided that you ignore in your
quest to remain thick.
