The father, stepmother and uncle of a 10-year-old girl whose body was found at her Surrey home have pleaded not guilty to her murder.

Urfan Sharif, 42, Beinash Batool, 29, and Urfan's brother, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of killing Sara Sharif, who was found dead in Woking on 10 August.

All three have also denied causing or allowing the death of a child.

The defendants, who lived with Sara before she died, appeared by video link at the Old Bailey to enter their pleas.

Mr Sharif, Ms Batool and Mr Malik travelled to Islamabad, Pakistan, with Sara's five brothers and sisters on 9 August, the day before her body was found.

A previous court hearing was told police found Sara's body after receiving a call from Pakistan, which lasted eight minutes and 34 seconds, at 02:47 on August 10.

The three adults were arrested on their return to the UK on 13 September and were charged two days later.

This vermin was on the phone admitting to the call handler that he's beaten his daughter to death. Yet managed to get to Pakistan. Wonder why that is ?

Wonder why he was not already deported to Pakistan before being allowed to torture his own daughter to death ?

I sincerely hope the authorities and people concerned did not put "race" before safety for the child. This sad, harrowing and tragic case is beyond comprehension how it could have been allowed to happen, and missed by the authorities and people concerned for so long.

Man jailed for life for killing partner's child

A man has been jailed for at least 26 years after killing his partner's two-year-old daughter and abandoning her body in a locked bathroom.

Scott Jeff, 24, will serve a minimum term as part of a life sentence for the murder of Isabella Jonas-Wheildon, who was found with "traumatic injuries" in Ipswich on 30 June 2023.

Her mother, Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell, 24, received 10 years in prison after admitting causing or allowing the death of a child.

Ipswich Crown Court heard how the couple, from Bedfordshire, had wheeled Isabella's dead body around in a pushchair for days after her death on 26 June before fleeing from Ipswich.

I'd consider prosecuting the said neighbours. Their primary concern of being accused of racism over the welfare of a young child had cost the life of that young child.

I'd inform social or benefit services if I sensed a blatant disregard and violation of either. I'd even call the coppers if I came across a drunk exiting a pub and entering a vehicle and driving off. Similarly, immigration for any probable illegals.
