Votes missing from UK election too.

2 poor candidates in usa, lots didn't bother in 2024
and those that did swung to trump, having turned
out en masse in 2016 and swinging to Biden.

65.9% in 2020
58.2% in 2024

Polling in 2020 predicted the record turnout that year.

en masse in 2020...not 2016
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- • November 7, 2024 10:29 PM GMT
UK 59.7%, in 2024
UK 67.3%, in 2019

72.2% turned out for brexit ref.
Report SontaranStratagem • November 7, 2024 10:44 PM GMT
It's the Democrat votes and the turnout %

Trumps numbers held up and were pretty much bang on with 2020, Kamala saw 13 minion fewer votes, those 13m were all "dropped off" in 2020, they clearly used Covid as a disguise that year, people were still very reluctant to go out in groups at that point , they had the nerve and the circumstances to pull it off

They were rumoured to be wanting to do it again but no pandemic, and people on the other side wise to them
Report SontaranStratagem • November 7, 2024 10:47 PM GMT
They've tried other ways and failed as well

Now they're being quite lay low and saying it'll be a smooth transition etc

I predict they'll throw their voters under the bus now, totally desert them , Barack nowhere to be seen
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- • November 7, 2024 11:21 PM GMT
Lol, but the independent registered voters, about 30%
of total voters, swung by 20% to trump. From cnn early drill down on votes.

That's effectively around 6% of Dem 2020 voters now voting for trump

So Trump has lost votes and replaced them with dems,

It's not that difficult once the tin foil hats are removed
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- • November 7, 2024 11:26 PM GMT
Sorry 6% swing, 3% of Dem voters.
Report tobermory • November 7, 2024 11:29 PM GMT
A lot of votes still haven't been counted, especially in states that were never in doubt. Millions.

They are not going to change the result but the PV margin will narrow a good bit.

..

Lots of good stuff in there and if you add up all the swings you see where trump won.

And the few areas Harris did well.

Fun how MAGA X and MAGA betfair forum just all independently noticed this the past few days and apparently none of them can be bothered to look at uncounted votes. Although most likely they do know, but are just acting in bad faith.

Report SontaranStratagem • November 9, 2024 10:04 PM GMT
There's been a jump on both sides voter wise since 2016

It used to be the numbers posted by mes

Then suddenly 65 to 81, and I know tober puts Kamalas final tally at 76, but it's still 70 at the minute , if it ends up at 76 that's only a 5 million drop off which is OK nothing really in that

I do think because are questioning these numbers they've started dropping off ballets in the now meaningless blue states to bump her numbers , so as not to make it look so obvious

We know for sure they f I x e d somehow last time , they can't hide that , it was calculating and at the right states to get the EC win

Currently

Trump: 74.8M
Kamala: 71.1M

About 7 million odd left to count, half of them in California.

I expect 78.0-75.5  final score

There is a good active market on here regarding Trump final percentage vote tally. A very close call if he gets 50%.
Report yak hunt • November 11, 2024 8:46 PM GMT
One online bookie was betting pre election on Trump vote share. They were going 5.0 70-75, 3.25 75-80 and 1.7 80 and above. Luckily some of my biggest bets of the whole election were concentrating on the two 70s options.

I see: 'Trump vote percentage 2'. Seems people not clued up about the huge number of uncounted a few days ago dived in for 1.01. I expect the punters framing the current odds have gone deep into the remaining vote areas.

Let's be honest it's a massively divided country that is intensity partisan on both sides, its never going to unite its going to get worse once the dust settles

If the Democrats hadn't cheated in 2020 Trump would be finishing his term now and he probably wouldn't have achieved much because he didn't have a good team in 2020. Now he has the dream team and an unambiguous mandate. I am a bit concerned though that the human race might come to an end because of all the 24 stone bald women withdrawing relations from men.
Report edy • November 12, 2024 12:20 PM GMT
From what I've seen, it coincidentally happen to be primarily men with hugely impressive beer guts that talk about women and their weight/appearance in this manner.
Report Ronaldmcdonald • November 12, 2024 1:41 PM GMT
In what manner?
Report edy • November 12, 2024 2:43 PM GMT
In my observation it is primarily the bald 24 stone men that openly talk down bald 24 stone women as not good enough, sometimes dressed up in sarcasm like you did. Us others who have wild, manly manes and who don't share your hugely impressive beer gut only think it.
Report Ronaldmcdonald • November 12, 2024 3:45 PM GMT
That might be true because I have never seen a 23 stone man talk down to a bald 24 stone women, but I am not 24 stone myself.

Well, barely anyone wants Friedrich Merz as next chancellor, but his CDU (+ bavarian partner CSU) are really bound to win the election with 30+ % unless Merz finds ways to make himself yet more unpopular even with CDU voters. He will be their candidate after his biggest rivals, Prime Minister Wüst of NRW and Markus Söder of Bavaria, conceded the candidacy to him a couple of months ago.

Friedrich Merz is going to be Germany's next chancellor unless videos surface of him killing kittens for satanic rituals in preparation of holding an orgy in which he is costumed as Vladimir Putin whipping away at someone costumed as Donald Trump. That would gain him lots and lots of votes from AfD people, but probably still lose him votes overall.

A more popular alternative from another party would be Boris Pistorius, currently defence secretary, but SPD are bound to re-run with Scholz on this short notice and Pistorius said he isn't available. Even if Pistorius was available, personal popularity only gets you so far if people don't want your party to lead the next government.

The first preference for a coalition partner of CDU/CSU would absolutely be the FDP, but there's some work to do there, some percentages to gain. It is however somewhat within reach. CDU+CSU+FDP+Greens would easily have enough seats, but someone would have to drug the heads of FDP and Greens to give close cooperation another go so soon, although these three parties would be the most similar on Ukraine policy.

Favourite for next government is easily a grand coalition of CDU/CSU + SPD. Given that a bunch of parties don't get seats because of Germany's 5% hurdle, those two parties should easily get enough seats for a majority even if they don't reach 50% together. CDU/CSU + Greens are an option that Merz has started being open to it, but pretty sure SPD would be preferred and Söder (leader of CSU) has done a lot of work stylising the Greens as Enemy No. 1 this summer.

If unexpectectly CDU/CSU and SPD don't get enough seats for a majority, then first choice for a third partner would be the FDP (if they scrape over the 5% hurdle), followed by Greens.
Report edy • November 13, 2024 12:13 AM GMT
although these three parties would be the most similar on Ukraine policy.

...technically four parties, but CDU/CSU are a union and basically serve as one in federal politics even if they are formally separate parties.
