Report Dr Crippen June 10, 2023 11:58 AM BST
Everybody knows this is retribution for Boris over Brexit.
Starmer broke the covid lockdown rules, so where's the witch-hunt against him?

The dirty left also see Boris as an obstacle to them gaining power power. So with the aid of some dark forces in the civil service, they've been working to remove him.

Where's the democracy in that? There isn't any. This is the way they do things in America. I never thought Boris was PM material, but the general public do.
And that's what matters, not some vindictive leftie old crow on a privileges committee.
Report Dr Crippen June 10, 2023 12:03 PM BST
It’s naive to call Boris a liar as if he’s unique in this respect. When it’s hard to find an MP that doesn’t lead us up the garden path.

They’re all liars, and to pretend they’re not, is a lie in itself.
Report flat16 June 10, 2023 12:22 PM BST
Boris the flawed, buffoons and blusters and said some ridiculous things (vaccinate the world by xmas etc) and he certainly should not have partied so much but at least he got us OUT tf.
Starmer kneels ,flip flops and was Corbyns mate ,his after work party was a  typical dull socialist affair ,with the takeaway bill in hundreds and with  so many people  there ,that he could not be certain if the ginger growler was there or not.
One feels the full combined force of the BBC/Guardian/civil service ,one is exonerated by a woke police force ,who did not manage one covid conviction during the entire duration.
What does it change.......nothing

obviously something in evidence (probably whatsapp msgs) that is so incriminating that it is imperative that the standards committee be shut down immediately so that it doesn't go on public record.
The only way that could legally happen is if BJ is no longer an MP.

There's something HUGE behind the scenes going on, we may never know what.
Report A_T June 10, 2023 1:29 PM BST

The only deranged are the subject himself and his cronies. In fact his reaction was a very accurate summation of himself. He has never been able to accept responsibility for his failings. It's always been someone elses fault.

Unfortunately, for the tories those cronies continue to laud him rather than commit him to the political dung heap which should have been his natural home a long time ago.

The truth is, for the past 13 years people with low energy and an aversion to scrutiny have risen to the top, infected by the illusion that power is all about telling people to do what you want without waiting to hear whether what you want makes any sense. Their default position is to do nothing, and their resting face is one of eyes rolling upwards when presented with something (the pandemic, the war in Ukraine) that looks like it's going to require several all-nighters.

This is why we now have so much unworkable legislation: borders down the Irish Sea that are and aren't there; expensive charter planes to Rwanda sitting in a hangar; green energy targets that seem to involve opening more coal mines, and police powers to arrest people who might be about to do something with glue (with no evidence strong enough for a conviction, since arrest took place before the suspected crime). All this, because people couldn't be bothered putting in the hours to test the details.

In the end, we need to remember that "laissez faire" is just Tory sleight-of-hand for "fairly lazy".

The best of histories politicians/leaders lied ,had a devious side ,were bluffing ,understood subterfuge and deception.
Johnson or Starmer are not that but if the leader of NATO ,after his debacle in Afganistan ,Biden had not sent Blinken to Russia for weeks of talks ,only for him to assure Putin "we will not fight in Ukraine" ,Wallace swiftly followed.
Just pretend woke Joe was younger and smarter,he could have got his rep' to leave doubt in Putins' mind about USA and NATO arming and funding Ukraine (which they eventually did after BJ intervention).
If Putin had any doubts would he send a convoy of inexperienced troops in lorries in convoy without engineers or assault troops. (yes Putin was bluffing) ,he only wanted assurances about NATO membership.
Joe was so determined to avoid aggression and military action and thus his reputation preceded him ,that he caused a war.
Putin thought the reaction would be the same as the Crimea grab.
So to my mind the liar is a better bet than a naive ,ideological fool.
Take it a step further: the USA would not have voted in the weak Biden unless the alternative was the **** Trump.
Where does Johnsons' apparent sins come in the scale of things ,marmite ,if you didn't like him your proven correct ,if you did you don't care as you knew what he was anyway.
