Notwithstanding the sufferings inflicted by an initial lack of preparation and understanding of the possible severity of Covid I think Bojo did a good job compared to The EU leaders eg Macron/Von de Leyen, etc, and bureaucrats; the major notable mistake was not isolating Covid discharges to care homes; the then Health Minister was too slow and reticent dealing with crisis.

Bojo was the person who insisted on early procurement of Covid vaccines and loads of it; Mr Sunak was not even for later ones.

Few Observations:

-  I think the Conservative Party, is no longer a "party". Most political parties worldwide have factions but this group have so many divisions and are clearly competing with other for dominance within the party, it is in no way a coherent group. Result is chaos

-  Following on from that what people want is a basic level of competence and an end to the never-ending crisis and drama. So a large-ish faction would support JohnsonShocked. A man still under investigation, the definition of incompetence, and with apparently even more skeletons in the cupboard. Result will be even more chaos.  Inevitable election. This is a slap in the face to the public to even consider him

- Its so bad - good Scots patriots like myself - don't really mind as taking the long-term picture into account - the more the UK continues to make a joke of itself the more likely independence. Johnson was always an asset from that perspective.

It’s probably as well for the U.K. was a whole that the liar has decided not to go for it. Maybe it’s less good news for Labour as Johnson trying to lie his way into longer term corruption would not have been a remote possibility.
But Johnson back in number 10, putting Putin he henchmen into the House Of Lords and acting out his Hooray Henryism with his sense of entitlement would have been terrible for everyone. Now there is a chance Scotland may be less keen on getting her freedom and the U.K. as a whole may be slightly less bankrupt from a decade of Tory misrule.
However nobody should think for a second that the Tories are either united or competent. They are sleazy, useless and corrupt and the sooner the dreadful creatures are out of power the better for us all.
