Guesing is valued but providing an opinion is even more valued.
I'm guessing the reporting of posts was getting out of hand.
I could also offer an opinion on who the guilty culprits are but I would think most posters know them.

Too much petty squabbling from sides who couldn't be arsed to even think about each others opinion. One side is a far right racist and the other a left wing woke nutter and never the twain shall meet!
aka. Need one because of the Pool thread. One thing I have noted is that people banned seem to be from one side of the divide which is a bit disconcerting. Can't say I've seen much to warrant this and if anything could be deemed offensive, it could be from either side.

Never done either but there is a case that at least blocking prevents the other. Good old crisp. Wonder if he is Tim Vine?

I presume there’s some sort of link between the posters being banned & the amount of betting turnover.i doubt betfair would take a decision lightly to ban a big punter from the forum.
The betfair mods are actually quite decent compared to other places.. we're in a society now where people have to apologise for saying men cant menstruate ffs.
The reality is the likes of twitter/fb/forums are watched by a huge number of sad entities who are permanently enraged over everything flicking between p0rn and social media all day wearing string vests encrusted with last nights pot noodle/takeaway/ **** stains from the last report they sent in. The chit chat forum wouldn't have survived anywhere unfortunately with these above named creatures lurking everywhere ready to file a report adding a new stain of excitement to their string vest. The vest brigade want to close down any views they disagree with - not only that but now saying nothing at all means you are condemned as well on forums/social media. A college tweeted a picture of rose gardens and that was pounced on by the string vest brigade as black lives were apparently inferior to flowers with the school deemed racist. What hope does any forum have in this ridiculous society?

The 'How to Join' button is faulty, if you click on it, it says error, address bar says /howtojoi rather than howtojoin, that's strange, how could that of happened. On the face of it looks like they don't want new members ?
Had another post removed , Mods probably fed up with having to deal with reports , all will be revealed when some of the departed return

Reports of Chit Chat's death have been hugely exaggerated.
Would have been 90% full of Co vid Posts , 5 % shyte , and 5% the left and right attacking each other ,Only thing missing would have been PPs betting posts ,So we bsaically have chit chat and a few Political Betting posts ...
