I'd like to see her getting a government portfolio in the impending cabinet reshuffle.

I didn't vote for her because she is a Tory but she is an impressive lady, the sort we need in Parliament and I hope she gets a front bench job soon. Not just a small one but a big office of state. Can't see it as she is in Chatham not the Cotswold's and probably didn't go to the right schools or Gymkhana's as a kid but she has talent and integrity and we as a country need people like her.

We have more that unites us than divides us. She is one of us!

She was Minister for Culture and Media, was she not? I remember she was anti-fobt - the crack cocaine of betting; she resigned because her boss (Hancock) capitulated to pressure from Hammond/Treasury) to postpone reduction from 1st April to end of year 2019). But, revoke by cross Party MPs saw a U-turn by government.

correct that she resigned over a matter of principle. I cannot recall the details but slime like Hancock will move upwards and she will be discarded!

Unfortunately that is how it is and it is wrong.

I ashley did not vote for her on tribal grounds but she was definitely the best man for the job.

She doesn't impress me. I had correspondence with her when she was Culture/Sports Minister. I sent a shed load of evidence re bookmakers closing/restricting accounts plus the spyware they were using against us punters. She was not interested and cited that they have the same right as the Insurance Industry in assessing risk. Ignored completely my questions about spyware. Useless as far as I am concerned.

Double Squiggle, that's very interesting. I have multiple closed/ restricted accounts but at the end of the day I just have to accept bookmakers aren't charities, they are businesses and as such they must always be able to decide who they wish to have as customers.
