People like Blair are telling them that we may not which gives them false hope.
Report Dr Crippen April 10, 2018 11:01 AM BST
I agree sageform, he's trying to undermine our negotiating position by suggesting that we might not leave if the deal isn't to our liking.

This is to encourage the EU to offer us a poor deal.

If this happens he can them go flat out trying to convince us to reject the whole referendum result. Or perhaps vote again.

Fortunately for the UK his name is so toxic that few take any notice of what he says any more.

I really don't understand people's obsession with Brexit.
America is against it.
Your own govt doesn't seem interested.
Tony Blair says don't do it.
Your govt today went along with a war as fake as Story Daniels tets. Just because America said so. Do you seriously think you can manage Brexit with your own politicians, America and the rest of EU against it? You are really overestimating the power of vote.

"I really don't understand people's obsession with Brexit. "

Really?

"Tony Blair says don't do it."

Now maybe you'll understand..

You mean the deplorable Obama was against it. There is a different administration over there now.
Report detraveller April 15, 2018 12:13 PM BST
Of course Blair is a disgusting human being and the deplorable Obama isn't the president anymore. But that doesn't mean what they say or said doesn't hold value. As i said, if May can go along something as stupid as yesterday's bombing, what makes you think she won't give her life to stop something from happening that no one except the good people of Britain want?

Is Trump still supportative of Brexit now that Bannon is gone, and if so, do we think he actually knows why he supports it?

Report edy April 15, 2018 12:51 PM BST
After all, there have been reports about Trump himself putting the UK behind the EU in the queue like Deplorable Barry O. said the USA would. Who really knows though with Trump? The queue position will probably depend on the leg he got out of bed with first in the morning on any given day.
Report edy April 15, 2018 12:53 PM BST
In the end, to be honest, I would highly expect Trump to put the UK in front of the queue because he'll deem it easier to take advantage of.
Report Foinavon April 15, 2018 3:53 PM BST
We'll see. Could he get away with giving us a worse deal than we get with the EU? I don't think that even May would be prepared to pay him to have a trade deficit.

If it was not a good idea to uphold the UN resolution on the use of chemical weapons then why have the resolution in place or indeed continue with the UN at all? Unfortunately, the only 3 countries in the western alliance or Nato that are capable of such action are US, France and UK so if those 3 agree, it goes ahead while all of the other western nations sit on their hands. As for the fear of cyber attacks as a retaliation by Russia, why would they need an excuse if they were capable of causing such problems? If they can disrupt or degrade our economy they will do so regardless of any other events.
