Everything you post calls for extra funding.
More cash for the NHS, more cash for the care of the elderly (what happened to families looking after their own), more cash for the unemployed, more cash for the disabled, allow in more immigrants, give more in foreign aid and etc.
Did we have all this under a Labour government? Answer is no. So why not, and were you calling them vile and scum?
Everything is about balance but you choose to ignore this so you can score cheap points.
Report anxious February 28, 2017 11:17 PM GMT
No not at all im not saying New Labour should escape from any criticism  but this present Tory government is the worst ever and truly evil
Report akabula February 28, 2017 11:22 PM GMT
Nonsense again. So were these services always good? No they've all always suffered from a lack of funding.
Impossible to fund so that 100% is achieved in everything. As I said it's all about a balance and currently we are suffering because of immigration yet you want an open border.
Report akabula February 28, 2017 11:26 PM GMT
The thing that really sticks in my throat is the call for more care or the elderly.
We have a few generations who think everything is the responsibility of government.
What happened in the past? People looked after their own that's what happened.
Now they are happy to leave it to the authorities or want paid for it.

No the real problem is that Thatcherism broke up the post war consensus on the NHS and the Social Security System and declared war on it , this is the kind of society that her ilk have created.

Morals? Love? Compassion?

Equally why should a women work to look after herself to save the state money on welfare?

We should all sit on our arses, think of ourselves and let someone else pay for everything, right?

Report Dotchinite March 1, 2017 1:44 PM GMT
Of course its true although you have to take into account the position they inherited.

Its hardly feasible to remove a 100+ billion deficit overnight although I think they could have done better than they have.
I will ask you again how have you got the cheek to criticize them for borrowing to pay for NHS/welfare/pension spending etc when you refer to the cuts they have made as evil.

You have ZERO consistency or credibility. Are you Jermey Corbyn?
Report anxious March 1, 2017 1:52 PM GMT
No the reason there was a massive deficit was the result of the financial crash of 2008 which  meant the banks had to be bailed out or else we would have been in further trouble, its true I have said that they are evil and indeed they are , its all about choices if you spend billions on weapons of mass destruction that could blow mankind to smithereens or you could spend money on helping humans live a more happy and fulfilling life

I know it looks easier to scream and shout when somebody has a different opinion or challenges something you've tried really bravely to say. It doesn't look very good though.

Try thinking about your opinions before posting them, then when you get challenged you can answer without hurling insults. Believe me it'll be better for your health and your well being.

I liked the reason that appeared on Con home for their Copeland win:
Copeland voted Conservative because they have become rich through working and keeping more of their own money. It's a constituency where unemployment is low and incomes are above even the national average. The only connection to Corbyn the cretin is that Conservatives have a connection to people who can't get a GP appointment in the day because they're busy. Keeping a maternity unit open that isn't necessary under threat of being taken to court didn't cut it.
The tories don't need to do much to keep the Lab-Con trend going - stay in the Single market, keep free movement of honest workers, and keep the lid on spending.
Report unitedbiscuits March 1, 2017 8:41 PM GMT
I'm afraid that's not what you voted for, bongo.
Theresa May knows what you voted for, tight control of immigration, leaving the single-market, and extra sympathy for "left-behind" people like yourself. This is the mandate your vote gives her government.

So Copeland has become rich

From the BMJ:
The headline problem with UK health care is an undersupply of doctors due to socialised medicine. It's run for the benefit of employees not patients.

On education:
From the head of the Independent Schools association: the key advantage in teaching in a private school is not money, not the pupils, not the facilities, but aspirational parents.

On social care:
Corbyn wants more devolution to local authorities, but does not support locally set minimum wages, or making council tax payable by landlords or getting rid of public lending libraries that hardly anyone attends. Does he think libraries are on their way back or something? These would give councils more flexibility to organise social care.

On prisons:
This is your best point. The UK has too far many inmates by comparison with almost everywhere ( USA excepted ). Private companies lobby government not to reform our laws which jail people selling pleasurable products like cannabis and cocaine to consenting adults.

I'm in no way supporting the Conservatives. It's just a fact of life that if people become rich, they do not want that being taken off them by a party that overtly states that a top rate of income taxation of 54.5% is insufficiently high, and doctors, nurses and teachers in the socialised sector are undervalued and underpaid and should have more of your money taken off you to pay for them under threat of court.

And free trade, free movement of labour and tight government spending are ways for a country to get rich.
