Is it 40 mill,70 mill, 100 mill, or is there no limit?

Why have the arrogant political class never asked the people that question?

Or is that question the preserve of the ruling elite?

Welcome back wackjob & may I say you post an interesting question .

Been some reports on World wide optimum population & is a lot less than current population- think it was about 2bn (worth checking as just from memory).

Not heard of any about UK population- should it even be an absolute number or will it be a %of planet/Europe/1st world population. How does technology effect the optimum population.
Can't help thinking optimum population of UK would be less than 65m.

Meanwhile this question was asked on numerous occasions,on this forum,to the allow unrestricted immigration loons.Needless to say,an answer has never been given. My response was,and always will be,that so much of this once great country is in meltdown due to being overpopulated.
Of course the responses from the loons often had the word "racist" in their replies, not to mention "Daily Mail"!!

The immediate problem with adding to a population in a mature country, is that they always have to live where the services jobs and other people already are.
They don't build new towns and put in new sewers, gas, electricity, hospitals. Because that would be far too expensive and defeat the object of taking in immigrants.

So they crowd them into towns and cities and let them take the existing jobs, hence the lack of housing, depressed wages, and cramped roads that goes with immigration.

Big business wins and the public loses. While the situation can only get worse and is irreversible.

Very good points, add in school and medical problems. The politicians boast about the number of people in work, but hide the truth, which is the growing number of employees on minimum wage, and growing number receiving benefits to make up for this.

Any politician who tells us that immigration has anything other than a negative effect on the lives of ordinary people is a liar.

We originally imported people to do the lousy jobs in our factories. Those lousy jobs have gone, and now we're left with the people to keep.

This is going to happen again to most of the new arrivals over the last decade or so.

Then we're stuck with their nuisance and the cost of the bill to keep them.

My post removed by ....?

Anyway, I went down the con & U office this morning, asking for the official government figures
for IMMIGRATION
on ""INDEPENDENCE DAY" 23 JUNE 2016.

She goes "don't call it that for Goodness sake".Laugh

She e-mailed the query to an MP.

I'll post the reply, if and when I get it.

Re population:

The population for Ireland - a Catholic country - is still less than it was in 1847.

Shhh.

Look I get you don't like us but don't foist all those enrichers on us.

We don't want Roma beggars
We don't want Eastern European metal thieves
We don't want Romanian criminal gangs
We don't want any of those Jihadis mingling among those needy migrants.

We have enough as it is.

Who are chatting to, Wilde?

Ye seem a very bitter and biased man.

If ye go back a bit further than your heyday in England, ye will see that substituiting the word IRISH  for all the descriptives on your list
would give ye what ultra-conservatives like ye were whinging about in the ould days.Laugh

Get a grip of yourself and cop on.

We workers will be taking over, whether ye like it or not.
Ye are trying to hold back the clock.

We shall smash your border across our land to pieces! Cool

" we workers "

Those gentlemen I cite, the ones you champion don't fit into that category but then neither do you.

Your borderless world suits you as you exploit it but borders are natural, people naturally identify with their own and you and your globalist friends won't change that.

Two child rule now in place for the benfiterati.
Technically it comes into force on 01.04.2017, but if you're planning a 3rd baby now, and expect the State to pay you more in child tax credits when the baby arrives, then it is too fu§king late.

Surely the maximum number should be that which the country can self sufficiently feed, heat and provide adequate teaching and medical care.

In theory you can teach and care for an almost limitless number as a larger opulation presumably can produce more teachers, doctors etc.
Not sure about fuel as I think we may have been self-sufficient at times in the C20. Don't think the country has been able to feed itself for centuries though. Wasn't that what the Corn law debates wer all about 200 years or so ago ?
Personally I agree having done more driving than usual this summer that there are too many people driving around motorhomes, unnecessarily huge SUVs etc     Angry
