You can argue with your logic, you can beg and scream but Nigel Farage will go down in history as the man who saved Britain.
This true patriot has devoted his life to saving Britain, today is the culmination of a lifetimes work.
Nigel Farage should be asked to do Britain one more favour, head the negotiations for Britain.

Agree, if Boris was PM would he involve Farage in negotiations? long shot?

After his very stupid outburst in Brussels today, the last thing we want is him being anywhere near to the negotiations. Unless the UK delegation can persuade them that he is not representative of British views, we will get nothing but tariff barriers from the EU. I have been supportive of Nigel in getting us to a referendum but you don't negotiate by being gratuitously rude to the other side.
He did miss one trick though. When Juncker asked what he was doing there, he should have replied "I am a democratically elected MEP, why are you here?

It wasn't an outburst it was a brilliant witty speech that even had its targets amused in the end.
He quite rightly pointed out that Britain has a stronger hand than the EU and he's not going to get pushed around.

Some of what he said was fine, but insults don't win arguments. If you insult people they stop listening and exact revenge. I still think we need to concentrate on exposing these unelected faces who all get big salaries. Why exactly do the EU need Juncker: President of the EU Commission. Tusk: President of the European Council Schultz: "head" of the European parliament and probably the only one who was elected to his post.

If you think what Farage was doing was abuse you should have heard the vitriol poured at him via Juncker et al. At the end of the day nothing said in the European Parliament means a jot, all negotiations are done behind closed doors.

I hope you guys are right and that I am wrong but I expect the rest of the EU to play hardball now and Nigel is to blame imo. It will damage them more than us but that has never prevented them from making daft decisions in the past.

Hardball? You should remember that The EU and all its panjandrums are only at the trough because Germany, France and until now Britain have been filling it for them. Merkel and Hollande will tell Juncker how it's going to be, and he will act accordingly. It is not in the interest of either nation to set tariffs to trade, so it simply will not happen.
