Nobody wants the north the English would gladly drop it but any vote and the north would choose to stay - England have to pump in millions to keep the place going

I think ye'll find the EU pumps millions into the place.
"Your border" that ye so desperately want to " take back control of" will cost ye dearly, so, yes, I remember from the ould nf leaflets that ye english boys wanted rid of the Six, bc of the cost.

There are treaties with Ireland going back to the 20s about free movement.I'm not sure those would change as they originally obviously had nothing to do with the EU.

FR, the answer to that is they won't.
They just voted to remain in the EU as a part of the UK.

Their main reason for them voting to stay in the EU, is because of the funding they get from Europe. Which goes with being a part of the UK.

Separated from the UK there is no guarantee that they would get anything like they get now from the EU.
Wee Jimmy Krankie is leading them all up the garden path again, simply to appeal to her supporters who surely haven't weighed up the effects of them leaving a UK that is out of the EU.
How on earth could leaving the UK benefit them in any way now, with the rest of us out of the EU?

I hope you're right Dr C. As a Scotsman I didn't vote out only to be voted back in again due to Sturgeons warped agenda.

The Scottish situation regarding their economic prospects hasn't improved.
In fact separated from the UK, with us out of the EU has made their economic prospects even worse.

The Scottish economy would still be dependent on the price of oil.
Doing 92% of their trade with the rest of the UK, and with them in the EU and subject to the restrictions imposed on them by the EU when trading with outsiders, could hardly be to their advantage.

The Scots are going nowhere.

If Sturgeon gets her way there will be 50 odd SNP MP's on the dole.

What you have to remember is the SNP's main objective has and always will be independence. The price of oil and the trade they do with the rest of the UK means fkc all to them.
