BF suggests between 70 -75% is most likely at 2.8. I think that is a Lay as there is a stubborn hardcore of the unwashed in this country who wouldn't vote even if there was a motion to ban Facebook. I work for a US software company where the average employee is fairly well educated and informed and even here there are 2 out of the 6 I questioned who weren't voting from a 'I don't understand the issues' standpoint and one other who logistically thought he wouldn't make it to the polls. Lord knows what the percentages would be if you asked 30 employees at the nearest Homebase.
Sold at 70% on SPIN (albeit can't see the latest as they are now flooded so are offline) and backed 65-70% on here.
Praying for a biblical deluge after work as that always helps keep them at home!

Can Remain rely on the Postal/Proxy Block Muslim Vote to get another Election job done again and get them over the winning line?
Come on alun - bit disappointed you didn't get 'pretendy refugees' in there

Apologies for exercising my democratic rights there Rourkesdrift Wink
If you have the nous to put pen to paper and get to a post box then I salute you and wholeheartedly back your democratic right....I am confident that over 30% of the population would not that mental capacity! 70-75% drifting a tad to 3!!

FWIW. A friend of my sister's is working at a polling station in Leeds and told her by 2pm they'd had as many voters as in the whole day at the last election.

Thanks Johnnie....the responsible citizen in me likes the idea of an engaged electorate so hop it is a good turn out, but shy of 70% would be perfect!!

I think it could be 72%, so have gone 70-75%. Also backed remain to have between 40%-45% @ 50s just in case leave is ahead which i hope they are and the polls are wrong.

taking people within the workforce as your sample isnt really ideal. it wouldnt shock me if there were only about 15% of the people in the uk who actually had a job.

Sam Webber @samdwebber Experienced clerk in a Dorset polling station predicts turnout there by 10pm (incl postal votes already received) between 78% - 82%. #EUref

Xmoneyx, I cant see a turnout of 84% like Scotland had in their referendum. The uk general election was 61% so i have gone for the middle of the 2 turnouts.

Not sure how widespread is the bad weather ( floods in parts of the south east), but still reckon about twenty million votes on each side across ALL THE COUNTRIES.
Not sure if they'll give us a break-down of the figures, nation by nation, but my guess is
Scotland - stay Six Counties - stay Wales -stay Cornwall - stay Mannin - go England - go.
Whatever happens, the UK will still be in the EU by the time of the next General Election, imo.

My guesses based on an eligible electorate of about forty six and a half million.
Not sure how many ex-pats are allowed to vote.
Didn't realise it was as easy to rig things as the brexiters inform us. Maybe they are prone to exaggeration?

Wings Scotlandsson Retweeted James Kelly 1m James Kelly @JamesKelly From information gleaned on Twitter, I can reveal that turnout in London is either astonishingly high or abysmally low. One or the other.

Out in the sticks in lovely sunshine, I saw many old brexiters doing their duty - ould retired folk on frames and sticks, and all dressed up for the occasion.
I think 'twill be a close call.

Our polling station has had well above average turnouts today, they have asked for a third box when normally only need one.I will be amazed if the turnout is less than 70%.

I did not dare ask her.But all I can say is that if MI5 turn up.She would send them off with a thick ear.
I was thinking about the dastardly way Cameron has handled himself in this referendum & it reminded me a little bit of the Referendum in the Black Adder episode where Black Adder stood against William Pitt the Younger. That is probably where he got his strategy from.
