How long before the Labour party overthrow this senseless, ineffective old fossil, the point of his post is to try and win a national  election, general elections in this country are won from centre ground, far left and far right politicians are career wasters. He has to all intents and purposes, turned the country into a de facto one-party state system and I'm sure h's aware, however, he seems to be  enjoying the limelight too much to care about real power. Rabble rousing a small group of students, hippies, Muslims and the great unwashed on a cold day in Trafalgar Square is not going to achieve anything.

Embarrassing scenes today for sure.

Anyone who hates Britain though would have been welcomed there with open arms.

Not cut out for the job. Some of his beliefs are out of tune; but he lacks the necessary guile, insincerity to act any different.
The slippery ones, survive and prosper in the cesspit of British politics.

Strange one Corbyn. People seem to like him because they think he's a man of conviction. Yet on the single biggest issue facing the country he's held a position all of his career of being a eurosceptic.
Report tony57 February 29, 2016 3:04 PM GMT
yes fair point eo? i think its fair to say tho that he sees it as a fight he cannot win inside the party? but trident he thinks he can?
Report Dotchinite February 29, 2016 3:20 PM GMT
His greatest achievement is how he has everyone believing this decent man of principle nonsense when he is as dishonest and unpleasant as any of the others and if he ever gained power far more dangerous than any of them.
Report Eeternaloptimist February 29, 2016 5:16 PM GMT
Whilst that may be his rationale I just think it's both senseless and betrays an appalling lack of judgement tony.

It's senseless because this is, if ever there was one, an issue related to convictions. The most free of free votes. He doesn't need to carry the party. He just needs to allow people to hold a view and espouse it. No need to act like a spanked ar5e like Cameron. He could show the country how it is perfectly possible to disagree cordially.

The poor judgement is that if this is how he is approaching the issues why would he place the issue of Trident above the future direction of the country. Trident is little more than a totemic issue at best. The fate of our own working class being crushed by government and big business should be the issue of our time for the party.

Maybe that's why the country continues to meander into the abyss?

I'm waiting now for one of the lefties, sean, tony, anxious, et al.
To have my post removed for referring to Corbyn as a fanatic.

I have yet to understand his position on the European Union refrendum, probably the most important decision we have to make for a generation.Leadership ? Meanwhile the BBC appear to have adopted Nicoa Sturgeon and the SNP as the official opposition, she is never off the TV !

Tony, my whole point was that as leader of the opposition, he is 100% unelectable, he will be lucky to pick up half the votes Miliband did and because he knows this, it means he is willing to sacrifice his own party's chance  of forming a government in 2020 so as to promote his own hard left views, after 'I went to Haverstock' Ed, the last thing they needed was to swing further left, a moderate such as Umunna would have been a better choice, although all round it's a weak pool of talent anyway.

There we go my post was removed.

I'll add Facts to my list of sean, tony, anxious, et al.

We can't compile a meaningful list of loony-lefties with him being on it.
Facts is probably the biggest nutter of the lot.

Along with Crybaby of course.

Exactly Facts, weak all round. Worst group I've ever seen in opposition.

He seems to be relying on Flabbot as the spokesperson, seeing as she is on TV so much. Desperate stuff Jeremy,i can't think of anyone more likely to drive voters away, than her being the Labour spokesperson.

Jeremy is like Nige: totally futile.
Two losers making plenty of dosh.
