Personally think there will be some fibbers who have said they will vote yes but actually vote no. And I reckon a sizeable majority of the undecided voters have really made up their mind to vote no.

My prediction...

1.18 for the NO vote, heavy betting often points the way although it is always possible a shock can happen. The stock markets appear to have priced in a NO vote with a modest rise today so there could be carnage among the pin stripes tomorrow morning !

The NOs appear to be abandoning ship - when it comes right down to it they can't vote no. The betting is skewed. It's not taking on board what's actually happening on the ground, but being influenced by non-Scottish resident bets who are not here in Scotland to see the democratic revolution and who can't face the real prospect of Scotland leaving the UK.

I think No will win. However Yes will win the next referendum which will be much sooner than people might think.

What is facing Scotland is more pain for the poor, more cuts, more food banks and more nukes. The Tory right have already promised to scupper any plans for more democracy for Scotland and in any event what is promised is pathetic. It will all add up to more real demand for Scottish independence.

Well the poor should get their fingers out and find a job, training, education, etc.

Bumming around and waiting for others to come knocking in their door and give them a job paying £50,000 + ain't going to work.

Thanks bongo, nice of you to recognise my talents! However, I think the best post of this thread belongs to the one via el president made on the first page which summarised by exact feelings but in words a lot more concise.

With the benefit of hindsight the only way yes could have won ( and it was a long shot at that ) was if they had sneaked up on the line like a golfer getting in early with a 62 in the final round of a golf major and thus having no think to be afraid of winning. I mean the yes side needed to win by accident. That poll that put them infront last week was not a good thing for the yes side. It spooked some of people who had said yes as much as it put the bejesus up Westminster.

That poll that put the yes infront by 51-49 actually represented a greater lead for the yes side as it did not include lots of new registrations who you would naturally think were going to vote yes. However, you always needed to factor in how many more people would be unwilling to tell the truth how they intended to vote in this kind of an election than in other types of an election.

The fact that he accuses me of being other posters is just a desperate attempt to put a dent in me due to his complete failure to do so in our political discourse.

Menelaus is Scottish by all accounts yet he never made a single worthwhile post about his countries referendum and continues to play the insanity card. Crybabyoftheuntruth claims he is English yet he was posting about the Scottish referendum as if he was Rob Roy.

There goes the eeternalklart again abusing others and ruining the forum.

Others are saying you are Melly. I'm not. You are responsible for the crap you post on here but I do wish you would drop this tiresome nonsense about aliases. You haven't got the balls to put your money up so just drop it.

But I do find myself wondering if you are doing his bidding. Are you yet another poster he has PM'd trying to get me banned because it seems remarkably coincidental that a few days after I put him on the naughty step you are carpet bombing the forum with posts about me ruining the forum. Very strange. Are you Melly's biitch? The forum deserves to know who you are batting for.

Are you Melly's biitch?

well that's a really nice accusation, typical of someone who enjoys trying to cause upset to anyone else on the forum and classic internet troll tactic and the way an odious klart would carry on.

I will ask questions in return.

Do you tell lies for fun or can you not help yourself?

Do you try to wreck other people's enjoyment of the forum deliberately or does bullying and being an odious troll come naturally?

Is your character caused by being dropped when young or do you think you were a born bully?
