A new low since the last new one and the one before that. Toynbee is nearly as rum as Dianne Abbott but if she tried really hard and lived to a hundred she'd still struggle to catch Comrade Karla of the people.

"Toynbee is nearly as rum as Dianne Abbott"
D.A. on QT last night seem to be making the excuse that the reason core (English/Maths) educational standards had plummeted under Labour was because of a concentration on skills to get people into university and not on other skills like vocational skills. How ****ing dim is that!? If they HAD successfully concentrated on skills to get people into uni, you'd have a LOT of people BETTER at English and Maths, but arguably lacking vocational skills that would be more appropriate to them and the economy. Thats a different though fair argument. What has actually happened however is that Labour Educational policy had resulted in the poorer levels for the things they'd arguably (by the "too academic" argument) concentrated on achieving! Think about that. And if the teaching etc for English and Maths is maintained the same way, but you also then swing the teaching away from them to more vocational skills, surely the core skills will just get WORSE? When you see the awful standard of people that make it to Ministerial (& Shadow) level under Labour, you can understand why things go downhill.. |

Seriously Karla - a female journalist writes an outrageous headline and critisism is not allowed in your world because that would be misogynistic?
What a woeful poster you are. |

The name Polly Tonybee angers me but i don't know why
She must have said something in the past to piss me off Is she a bit sexist? |
|
By:
The headline does however seem to have nothing to do with the piece written by Polly Filler.
It's about further cuts and I really don't see why these 2 children were named in the headline. It appears that the Guardian wish to go down the sensationalist headline route ... and it seems to have worked well. |
|
By:
It reflects badly on the Guardian and for her to say she didn't provide the headline but didnt, apparently object to it at first, is pathetic.

they sure moved it of the front page when they saw the response !!!
