Many thanks for pointing out a 25 year old story which turned out to be incorrect.
While on the subject I would like to point out that Freddie Starr did not eat any hamsters. Are there any other old stories which time has not been kind to. |

its only 2013 Mex plenty of time yet.

Good point MW although zero chance of World currency by 2018, with all this food scare, it is possible that Starr has eaten these rodents in his spag bol.

Its not beyond the realms of possibility that it will happen.
The present financial system is terminal its just a case of when it dies. The euro will almost certainly go pop in the next few years quite possible the dollar will lose it status as the world's reserve currency and then it will be a brave new world. Step forward a global currency. |

MW - are you for real.
A global currency in 5 years - LOL muppet. It takes 30 years to decide where to build an airport, railway line or nuclear dumping site. |
|
By:
your presuming that the ground work hasn't been done behind the scenes.
If the present system goes pop which it very easily could then something will have to replace it. |

OK MW.
Speak to Betfair, get a market. Stick up £40k at 3s. You will triple your money in 5 years. LOL muppet. |

Not sure wacko, is it because you are a bit dense?
Come on wacko, great play in digging up a 25 year old story which has not happened. Maybe you could provide a link to the 11th century article about the trip to find the edge of the flat Earth. |

*********** This is not any old headline ,this is a headline in a prestigious magazine and a forecast that looked very unlikely at the time The conditions for a world currency did not exist in 1988 and continued not to exist until 2008 when the current and ongoing crisis struck, that crisis will have to get much worse before nations will accept a world currency. They did very well to effectively forecast the 2008 financial crisis- unless they knew something. I suspect they are a bit behind schedule, so it might happen a little later. Nations will not accept a world currency in normal circumstances, so the 'power elite' have to engineer a crisis of such severity that they will have no alternative. We are already in that crisis. |
