Do you think it may restore, at least some, public faith in politician's, if they were forced to declare under oath , before their name could be put on a ballot paper, whether they were or had ever been a member of a secret society. A society  to which they may have a greater allegiance than their allegiance to the people who are voting for them? Just so everyone knows where they stand, so to speak.

It couldn't do any harm could it?
