Over a month ago and it still shows as in play. Is there a dispute or something I don't know about?

There is no dispute, afaik, and I asked betfair about it this afternoon. The most official results I got were from:

I have to assume it is just an oversight, but will let you know if I get a response.

To follow this up, I got a reply from betfair, but still no action - I have asked them again today. The problem, of course, is that betfair does not act as the bookmaker, but merely a broke, so people betting against Romney might in theory complain if they call it for Romney. However, they can also clearly not leave it unsettled indefinitely, and as far as I can see, they have the authority to call it. Does anyone else wait for a payout?

Yes, I am also waiting and have e-mailed them.

They replied they have had "issues" with similar markets in the past and have not been able to get official confirmation of the result.

It is obvious Romney has won. It is obvious this is not going to change.

I suppose if they pay out now, then backers of Santorum will complain saying the result is not official.

Unfortunately, I can see us all waiting till the convention in August or even the Presidential election in November.

If you really need the money now, you can lay Romney at 1.03 and lose a percentage of your winnings.

Let's hope the market is settled soon.
