I think its a valid point about the exchange froggit, especially for the recreational ( mug ) punters like myself.

I can get best price guaranteed with every horserace and as long as I shop around a bit if having a football bet better odds than I can get on here after the commission is taken into account.

As far as the poker goes the Essence system penalises winning cash players and the incresed rake on both cash and STT is making it harder and harder to make enough to make the game profitable. They just seem to be squuezing the pips out of anyone winning.

Chip - imagine if you were on 20% commission for your footy bets? And I couldnt be bothered to download the latest incarnation of BF poker, but increasing the rake sounds par for the course. They want a high percentage of a small pie, rather than a small percentage of a large pie.

I got mine ( RB ) yesterday. The first installment of the Brazil Promo is due to be paid today, be interesting to see if that goes in.

Froggitt I couldnt agree more, they seem to be progressively removing all of the things they did that made them different. Fist year I used BF for punting and poker I made about 7 grand profit. I've never had a losing year on here since, but its got to the point where I'm winning very little and they seem to want a bigger and bigger cut of my turnover.

It feels like we have come full circle. The bookies close your account or cut your stakes if you are winning, and now BF seem to be following suit by making it harder and harder to turn a profit.

wouldnt get excited by that. if u lose 1000 on rugby and win 1000 on horses, wont they still want 20% t@x on the horse profit because rugby betting is not included?

Think thats more to do with the complete lack of liquidity on sports like rugby more than anything else.

There a match live on Sky tonight between Leicester and Ospreys and with 20 minutes to kick off theres been £7k matched on the handicap line and only £2k on the unders/overs. Even the outright market only has £8k traded.

I know its only an LV Cup game, but at the end of the day it is live on Sky, and these are teams people have heard of. People wont get heavily involved on an Exchange if they cant trade in running. I will probably be having a bet on the game but not on here.

They have killed the game and driven people back to the High Street.

Something like racing they might still get away with these daft charges because people with inside information on non buzzers can still beat the charges, but charging it on minority sports is madness.

Hopefully they will extend the new policy to more/all markets at some point. IMHO its also because the Sadblokes Exchange went live this week. While it was Betquack and their inability to attract customers, they were no threat. But with Sads behind them now, BF must be worrying about the competition.
