 God knows how folk play this site full time, I dont think Ive run worse on any site in the Western World. 5 days of bad beats and Im scuttling off back to 888. See everyone in the end of month Freeroll then if I get a ticket for the 5 days of misery !! |

I played be the batsman on ipoker a few years back. Two weeks of bad beats at the hands of the french was just too much. I got the willow out and absolutely battered the laptop. My ipoker hell was over. No more ipoker googlies to send my head spinning, enabling fishy french to sweep up my chips. Had to stump up for a new laptop though.

play very little online nowadays, lost the willpower to b honest.
no incentive to start multitabling stts again now, no leaderboard to chase,no traffic on here really, software cant cope with more than a few games at once, no commision points. play odd stt when in mood, which isnt often. |

The Money Matrix promotion was superb, one that I could achieve and set targets for myself. When I look at the latest promotions there's very little I can achieve and am playing elsewhere without RB because the promotions are so much better.
If Matrix was a loss leader for Betfair then lower the value but keep targets achievable. ATM Betfair are getting virtually nil from me in rake at least with the Matrix they would be getting something if they set their promotions correct. I got $1 in cake-back for the last 2 weeks which shows how much I'm spending. |

the matrix was a good1, u knew what u had to do excatly to achieve, and didnt have to spend half your life in front of the computer for a resonable amount.

Yeah Ted, I know what you mean about motivation. I got myself a new job 18 months ago as an analyst,the pay is more than enough to live comfortably on, so after spending most of my day staring at data I really cant be boshed to grind SNG's when I dont need the money or the hassle.
I was playing on 888 for a bit but the collusion on there is pretty bad. I caught two guys blatantly at it, and pulled them about it in chat, and they even had the nerve to joke about it. I reported them and after about a week got a sh1tty mail back saying : Thank you for your e-mail, the issues you raise will be thoroughly investigated, although we cannot inform you of the outcome of such investigations, I would like you to know that any instances we find of sustained suspicious play is dealt with according to our company policies. I would also like to inform you that we do not offer refunds, as per our terms and conditions state in the user agreement, please be aware that this is not a policy or procedure that our members are entitled to. The 2 guys were still playing at this point, always at the same table together, so I sent another mail asking wtf was going on and why the site didnt seize the funds of those caught cheating and re-distribute them to the victims, and another week went by before they said : We do investigate all allegations of cheating/ collusion sent to us, if after our investigations we have found sufficient evidence of fraudulent activity, all of the accounts involved will be blocked from our network. As confirmed, as per our User Agreement, we will not inform members regarding the outcome of investigations nor will we refund for losses suffered while on the tables So even though I was winning a few bob on there and quite liked their MTT schedule I just withdrew all my funds. It seems to me that a lot of sites take the same attitude towards collusion, account sharing, and bots, they bring money into the sites and its not the sites themselves who are getting fleeced its other players , so why bother doing anything about it ? These rake race promos are so heavily loaded in favour of the account sharers and bots that I'm amazed anybody even tries playing the game straight anymore. I know if I ever had to rely on poker for a living or a part of my living, I would be sorely tempted to hook up with another 3 or 4 solid D2N players and just share 2 accounts and collude. Unless you play on Stars there doesnt seem to be any downside.The worst that can happen is that they block your username and you have to re-register, but given you will then be eligible for all the sign up benefits, that also seems to be an incentive !  I should probably have done it a few years back when I was offered the opportunity. |
