1) Is the SNG Leaderboard being funded by the 40 per cent hike in fees for Super Turbo SNG ?

2)The new VIP levels apparently run from 1 up to 13. If mine says I am at Level 15 should I be worried ?
Report GHADDAFFI. June 27, 2013 12:27 AM BST
chipfire... you should be thankful for the generous promotions Betfair has set up for you.. only 1500 hands a day to qualify for the bottom rung of the speed poker leaderboard
How can you resist?

Chip --

1) SNG pricing on network games doesn't lie with us, unfortunately.  We've been funding the SNG leaderboard since March.
2) Level 15 is the Loyalty Club level which "houses" our cashback players; nothing to worry about, Chip.

1500 hands on two tables of speed poker is about 90 minutes a day, for two weeks!

You have been funding a SNG Leaderboard since March ???

First I've heard of it. Im not saying it doesn't exist but if it does it's news to me, and I have asked about it.

Really disappointed to see the Money Matrix go. I have been playing on BF poker exclusively for 4 1/2 years and I think it's the best promo you have ever run. On a positive note I think if you are going to run a leader board based promo this is by far the best way to do it. The weekly leader board idea is much better than an overall monthly one  lie with saw with the NBG promo.

I smell a rat in the Summer swagger promotion, 500 players are on the leaderboard already with 499th position raking $40 to the poker site in 14 hours of play. The top place has raked over $1650 today. I'm not saying this is impossible but a Supernova Elite would struggle with such volume and there's simply not the traffic on I-Poker to achieve it.

If it is correct then I won't bother, at least with the Matrix I had a personal target that I could achieve.
Report chipfire227 July 1, 2013 5:37 PM BST
If there is one thing BF have definitely demonstrated down the years is it's complete and utter inability to run a fully functional and accurate SNG Leaderboard.

The guy in charge  of promotions believes they have been running one since March although nobody is aware of it.

The last one I can recall was back in January on Ongame. It was meant to update daily but never did and you were lucky if you got one every 3-4 days, which even then was hopelessly out of date, and seemingly based on guesswork.

Christmas promotional leaderboards always included the bots which were playing volumes so incredible even poor gnasher couldnt compete playing all the hours God sent him.

At least with individual targets everyone has the opportunity to participate, and if you dont hit yours you only have yourself to blame.Leaderboards are for non UK pro players and bots.
Report Ovalman. July 1, 2013 6:21 PM BST
It just seems so out of place, top 50 requires over $225 in rake and the day hasn't finished yet. I also don't recognise any of the names but then again not many playing $5.50 games will be in with a chance. Is this I-Poker wide?

Give us something for the little guys again, bring back the Matrix that at least gave me a target I could achieve.
Report chipfire227 July 1, 2013 7:44 PM BST
Leaderboards which arent genuinely ROI based will always be farmed by bots and Eastern Europeans sharing an account. Any LB with large prize money is a magnet for this sort of activity. The cake races and cake rake LB's were the beginning of the end for "community" poker. Bots and 16 tablers dont engage in chat.

Moving somewhere cheap to live, and sharing an account with a few decent players was suggested to me a few years back, it was obviously the way forward.
Report Ovalman. July 1, 2013 8:01 PM BST
I thought I had a chance for a min cash in this playing 30-50 games a day but now I've no chance I won't bother. At least the Matrix encouraged me to meet my targets.

As I said, Supernova Elite would struggle to grind this amount so with far less traffic on I-Poker I'm unsure how it's possible. I haven't spotted any of the leaderboard players playing. I did sharkscope the guy in 2nd place and he seems a genuine decent nosebleed stakes but I'm just curious how he's earning all those points and who's he playing against?
Report chipfire227 July 1, 2013 10:46 PM BST
Sorry my bad, I thought it was a SNG Leaderboard, which we were promised would be up and running by mid Feb. It's actually just another Rake Race for the high stakes cash players, on top of the  existing speed poker leaderboard.

So the FACT is there is no promotional activity whatsoever for the regular SNG players this month, the ones Anthony talked so much about wanting to build the site around, and the 40 per cent hike in Super Turbo fees they are being saddled with, is all going to the high roller cash guys.

So as well as the **** software, we got the highest fees in the entire world, which even with the 30% cakeback are still higher than just about everywhere else, and ZERO promotional activity, and still no leaderboard.

Great work Anthony. Have you been set a target for ridding the site of UK based sit and go players entirely ? Laugh

I look at this forum from time to time and I find it hard to find a comment that says something positive about the site,,,, For the last 2 years !!! And yet the message does not get through that there is a lot wrong.
I wonder how many players they have now. When they left Ongame recently I was surprised that it hardly affected the numbers playing in the tourneys I am used to playing. I can only assume that their playerbase has shrunk to a fraction of what it was. And the joining ipoker will probably be the final nail in their coffin .
I think they deserve it. For being both incompetent and arrogant  Devil

Just had another look at the leaderboard and it seems to have completely changed. Looks like they had set the points totals wrong. Perhaps they were the points after the multiplier. Just a guess.
Report chipfire227 July 2, 2013 9:00 PM BST
Their inability to run a Leaderboard is legendary. No doubt it will all be I pokers fault.
