Lol yes, this is terribad for Betfair. Good for the players that got into the new satty, fave fun with the added value, Betfair dererves paying the overlay.

Were you registered and then miss it Doobs? I only picked up on it because of customer services post. I wasnt going to play
|
By:
I registred very early this morning, then sitting wondering "should it not start now". On Sundays you play like 15 tournaments on five different sites, no time to looking at the lobby nor checking emails.
I understand that things go wrong and that they had to cancel the tournamnet, but I think that they could have called the 30+ players that was registred in the tournament and not just send an email. Anyway, time to cashout the bankroll on Betfair, no need to have any money on the site since they surely will run the next satellites on the iPoker client, and there I am not going to play, no matter the value in the qualifiers. |

CCC ... they actually cannot pre-register players, software does not allow for it im afraid to say. I know this as I has issues in the past with promo games Ive run.

I've had nothing from them, or seen anything on here about the switch to I-poker. Their communication is p1sspoor. Emailed them a fortnight ago, still waiting for a reply.
Given up trying to qualify for London, wish I had registered for APAT next weekend now. ![]() |

Klup, where did I say that I wanted them to pre-reg me? I am fully aware of the limitations in the network. But they could have called me on the phone instead of/combined with the email.
|
By:
Klup he's asking why they didnt ring the 30 people involved, and its a fair point. I rarely check my email on a Sunday, I suspect very few people do.
|

Fair enough - i hear you. I was playing at the time so didnt read the post too well.
I was fuming with my promo game issues and had a days notice as well - so i do understand and appreciate everyones frustrations on this. I totally agree, its not a good feeling, but it is a human error - but like you say, they should have done their utmost to contact you and a phone call with an email would have been much more effective. |
By:
Dunno what time the mails went out or the game was due to start, but the announcement on here didn't get posted until 19:57.
|
By:
I got an email sent to my 2nd account at 19.48.
I don't even understand the problem. Surely easiest to just inform the people playing the sat what the prize structure was. Well it must be better than removing players from a tournament with an overlay. Anybody any idea when day 1 finishes on Saturday, assuming betfair want us to play. |
By:
i got a phone call at about 7.45 to say what had happened
|
By:
One thing I ca tell you - iPoker are excellent and sorting out tournament issues. So by mid 2013, we wont be having these kind of problems. We will just be running into quads every other hand and getting disconnected randomly.
|
By:
I got a phone call
changed your number doobs xxx |
By:
Why would you be running into quads every other hand???
Its random. Just ask chipfire. The innocent little mug ![]() |

Doobs, the poker on Saturday (Day 1b) will run for the same length of time as Friday (Day 1a)...so I guess you won't know till the end of Day 1a.... I think it's standard to reduce the day 1a field to about 20%.
So, i'm sure this has been no help to you...but at least you know why ![]() |
By:
I dont know why doobs is worrying about the end time of Day 1

You are Irish, you support a Scottish "football" team, and work as an Internet Troll for £0.00 per hour. How many bad life decisions can one man make ?

I appear to be off the e mail list and had nothing at all
