I've had Masters VIP status for about 3 months now, was expecting some sort of contact from Betfair (as set out in their t and c's) but I've heard nothing. Is this to be expected? Would be nice to hear something from them!

What were you expecting on getting to Masters status ? You get an invite to the Betfair Masters Freeroll played in London every October/November time, and thats about it. Why don't you mail them ? No point putting something on here to be honest because nobody at Betfair reads it since the PR Manager left.

Cheers Chip, to be honest I didn't know what to expect. I remember in the old rewards matrix it mentioned Betfair merchandise and an offline invite (which I guess is Masters Freeroll you're referring to). Shame if the invites the only bonus as I qualified too late for that :-(

They did say they were looking at holding one in the North early this year (2013) when I spoke to them on the phone. They rang me to ask why I hadn't replied to the invite which I only got a fortnight before the freeroll and I said at short notice it would cost me £300 for hotels and trains, so would get better value spending the money on a big online MTT.

I went to the one in 2011, also in London, and it was really good, you get some merchandise, there's a free bar and a meal, and free competitions running throughout the day, so you do get well looked after. I cashed which covered my expenses and it was a really good experience.

I can tell you for 100 per cent certain that if you reach Masters status anytime in the preceeding 12 months and are UK based you will get an invite, so if there is another one in 2013 you will deffo be eligible even if you dont keep your Masters status for the rest of the year.

They did give me some hoodies, baseball caps, and polo shirts to give away on free competitions on here last year but I think they have all gone now, and doubt they will be giving away anymore.
