hmmm depends what he's doing and when he's doing it and what his budget is.  He should never stay or play poker in the Bellagio imo - full of angle-shooting regs and the floor will do nothing.  MGM is good for poker but a bit out of the way and can fluctuate in price a bit depending whats on.  Agree with PH if the rate is ok.  He can have a look here for prices. http://www.lowcostusa.co.uk/ Just ignore the cheaper ones.

lol Laugh

it's not a spelling test on here !

Somewhere to stay, if you go too cheap you are likely to be off the strip or bad location on the strip.  I've been twice and going back in Feb., staying at Treasure Island again for the third time.  It's not as plush as the main hotels, but comfortable  and nice clean room.  Great location on the strip for a moderate priced hotel, very close to Venetian, Wynn, Bellagio, Caesars, Palazzo, Rio, and right next to the Mirage.

TripAdvisor good website for recent hotel reviews.

A lot of hotels in Vegas charge a Daily Resort Fee 20 dollars + tax = $22.40.  Not all of 'em but a lot of them do charge it.  Just need to check on that when your booking, if your not aware of it and you stay for 5 nights that will be an extra 112 dollars on your bill.  Just something you need to be aware of, so you can take that into account when your comparing prices.

And this Daily Resort Fee, what it actually covers is things like high speed internet access, use of the fitness centre, the swimming pool, local free phone calls. Bit of a rip-off.  Should all be included in one price, but if your not aware of it.....nasty little extra !

If you book thru lowcostusa (and maybe other uk travel agents don't know for sure) the resort fee is included.  It isn't thru expedia.
