Some sites are full of russians multi playing the same table and not even camoflauging it. Is it worth reporting these days ,there
seems to be an epidemic of it.
Report chipfire227 September 26, 2012 2:02 PM BST
Probably not, Ive noticed it too in D2N games over the last 6 weeks,in fact people are now regularly discussing it in the chat box during games. I guess it's like the last days of the Holy Roman Empire where anything goes. Lets face it they were hopeless at detecting it at the best of times,  now they are on the brink of collapse you have zero chance of anyone doing something about it.

It is always worth reporting possible collusion. Please post details here and I will pass them to Ongame for the investigation.

Just to manage your expectations that I am not able to visit the forum necessary every day so please allow me day or two to take your reports onwards.

u think. ive had more refunds from jokerstars [ ive had 1 ever, and i didnt relize id played a dodgy game] than ive had  of betfair in 8 years, and i suffered at the hands of the east european d2n gang last winter.

appreciate the post Asko. It's been on a different site. Cann't beleive it's got so bad. In the cash games and the sit and goes.
90% plus is shameless russians. Even on the 6 max sit and go's you can wait for 4 different players from different countries then
low and behold the last person to come in is another person from russia. They then never play a hand against each other.
The only way round it is to play heads up which I don't mind but it would be nice to have some choice.
It looks to me as though Poker is on a downward spiral and some of the Poker magazines and programmes need to start showing
some balls before it's too late.

I've reported about a dozen colluders over the last couple of years, fair enough they all got banned, but from that I got one $22 STT refund. Like gnasher I lost a considerable chunk to the Eastern European gang on here last Spring, and I've never really played with any confidence on the site since. I'm not dumb enough to think these players get banned and say to themselves " Okay, I wont be doing that again " they simply re-register under a different name, they were doing it anyway to get sign up bonuses.

You only have to look at the STT Leaderboards to see whats happening. In the good old days it would be the same names over and over again, week after week, month after month. Not now.Same locations, probably same players, different user names.

Its a massive effort putting together hand histories and scope records for a fraud referral and whats the point when there's no financial recompense at the end of it ?

It's not just this Network, its across the board, some worse than others, this being one of the worst and lets be honest, the Network doesnt even allow you to see what country your opponents are from, making the job even harder.

Its an occupational hazard Im afraid. Play $10-$20 standard D2N's on here and you are up against high quality BOTS like sexysandy and shumrich, play D2N's and you are up against the German trained Eastern European Collusion School. Heads up is a non starter on here due to 10% fees, double what everyone else charges.

Poker on a downward spiral ? Not so sure, I think its certainly driving a lot of UK players back to the live enviroment-home games, games in the Social Clubs, poker-rooms and casinos, certain areas of the UK do seem to be having something of a boom as far as live poker is concerned.

Betfair did of course have a live 10k Freeroll for anyone achieving Masters status. Very well run events, and good for Community Spirit.

Incredibly, for those of us having ground our way to 14,000 player points and Masters Status, BF appear to have binned this, without bothering to tell anyone. A kick in the nuts for the loyal but dwindling customer base? Yep. A further erosion of Players Club benefits ? Yep. An encouragement to simply re-register every 6 months under a new user name and get the sign up benefits ? Yep.

Finally  as far as passing stuff onto Ongame is concerned, can I be frank ? We have heard it all before. I pay my money to Betfair. My contract is with you. I pay the entry fee to you, it says Betfair Poker on the table. I have no financial interaction with Ongame at any point, nor do I have any customer interaction with their staff. Time and time again we hear the same old shyte from Betafir :

Leaderboards not updating ? Waiting for data from Ongame.

Sites gone down ? Problems with Ongame.

Havent had refund from crashed games ? Waiting for data from Ongame.

Havent been credited on a promotion ? Problem with getting data from Ongame.

Seriously- we dont bloody care- if you want to sub contract the poker out to incompetents, then hey, thats your prerogative, but MY CONTRACT IS WITH YOU.

If I go into Asda and buy a pint of milk and have to take it back because its rancid, they dont say to me, "Oh yeah that's down to the bloody dairy that is. Let me send it off to them and I will get back to you at the end of a very long investigation" They have a look at it and say either " Nowt wrong with it" or " Yep, sh1t milk, really sorry bout that, heres your quid back."
Report 666_v September 27, 2012 8:23 PM BST
Did you charge your neighbours double price for the milk to start with?
Report chipfire227 September 27, 2012 9:52 PM BST
LOL, at one of the Q and A sessions I asked why their Turbo STT fees were higher than the rest of the industry, and was handed a spreadsheet "confirming" that they weren't. The spreadsheet wasnt worth the paper they had produced it on. I assume the office YTS lad had done the research.

You would be hard pressed to find another site which charges 10% fees for Turbo heads up, and most other sites also charge considerably less for Turbo D2N games.

The other defence was that they have a better loyalty scheme. The loyalty scheme being The Players Club. You may recall players were encouraged to switch from cake to the Players Club following the move to Ongame, and were advised that the grinders would probably be no worse off by switching.

They then of course started eroding the Players Club benefits by reducing the number of points earned per dollar rake paid for STT players, and now appear to have scrapped the annual live 10k Freeroll.Players who did switch tothe Club, now cant switch back.
