I must admit I found it very sickly indeed and spent half of it laughing and the other half cringing.

I actually thought he came across as pretty ungenuine tbh but I am a bit of a cynic so maybe I am not the best to judge!

I was the same HF

It reminded me of the Office in terms of cringe worthy behaviour that you relate to and shouldn't find funny but do

I don't have any particular dislike for Feldman, I just dislike thieves in general.

I can ASSURE you Feldman has not got £6 million, what a load of cr*p they must of said on that programme!

Divide that figure by 20 and you would still be pushing the boundaries of reality to what his true worth/BR is.

As for his tears? The fella is a coke head he will cry at anything. Or maybe he heard Sam Trickett was about to out him as the guy who stole from him on twitter/facebook.

Here is a video stolen from ST's FB page to show what a crybaby he is:

Is there a single voluntary worker in Britain that isnt aware of the Secret Millionaire setup ?

Mmm here's a bloke nobody has ever seen around here before, with a television crew following him about, that wants to be filmed washing dishes.

Indeed chipfire and they also said it was being filmed for Channel 4 making it even more obvious, they could have lied about the channel at least! Silly

I couldn't understand why he got so emotional about the bankroll he built up over 9 months ($100k) and then lost in just over one day. It wasn't like he lost somebody else's money, it was his own and if he's a millionaire now he's learnt his lesson and surely his family has forgiven him and he's redeemed himself.

Giving so much money to that one bloke seemed a bit strange too - did he really need to give so much. What's the money going to be used for - buyiing £100k's worth of toys?

The guy who walked around Bradford building up a group of children before talking to them about racial harmony, that project seemed a little lame to me and I didn't understand the plan or objective for it.

I do quite a bit of voluntary work with kids on the estate where I live, and also with young offenders. Its not quite as bad now, but a couple of years ago you used to have to wait 6-8 weeks to get CRB checks done before you could take up any post, yet these millionaires apparently could just walk in off the street and start working with kids and vulnerable adults from day one.

Its a decent money making programme for C4, and obviously a few voluntary groups get something out of it, but it's mostly about massaging the ego of rich people and a bit of good publicity for them. Its clearly getting harder for the recipients to feign shock though when the millionaire is revealed.

They must have CRB checks done before show starts

If the CRB checks are done before the show starts, it sort of suggests these fellas aren't turning up in run down areas and trying to find organisations to help, and that some C4 researcher has gone out and looked for people to help beforehand.

The CRB, which you hand to whoever runs the voluntary organisation, lists the organisation you intend to do the voluntary work for, the position, but more importantly your address and last known occupation.

Obviously some of them are claiming to be doleys from run down areas, wheras the CRB will list them as a company director from Mayfair. Add that to the fact you got a C4 camera crew following them around and their millionaire status ain't very secret.

Makes the Mrs cry every week though. Laugh

They are always 'introduced' to three charities/good causes and then they give them all money.

I am very glad these causes get some money as 99% of them are good people helping those who really need it but in terms of the 'millionaires' they only really seem to do it for a bit of free good publicity and conciensce cleansing so all the usual tears and soul searching rarely rings true with me.

Feldman is just another in a long list that I have real doubts about their motives/intentions for doing the program.  The fact that he publicised it twice a day for weeks on Facebook before it was shown hardly does anything to quell these doubts.

Anyway I am a cynic and people have been helped so does any of that really matter?
