I came back 2 weeks ago thanks to the $500 bonus and I thought all was well. I was able to 6 table STTs no probs although having to manually close every finished table and re-seat myself in HEM was a slightpain but I lived through it.

Tonight however I tried to play a few MTT's. Fine when the game starts but EVERY time I change tables in one game, all my other tables freeze and I time out on all hands. So frustrating and not worth the hassle.

imo I'll stick around and cream whatever I can off the site but I won't grind here. I'm sure many others have done likewise.

Here we go again, all other sites OK and watching AA not time out but FREEZE.

Have to rejoin all tables again.

Are you listening Betfair.

It's brilliant when 1 tabling and software you could like but when you see AA frozen on the screen and nothing happening until you join another table in another game is so frustrating.

Sickening.

I have a 1 year old laptop bought specifically for poker so it's not my specs.

I've got 3 laptops,and none of them can cope with more than 4 tables. In fact playing 3 is about as much as I can get away with.

As for tables sticking Oval, you should try playing 30 man stt's, it's a nightmare.

The only people working for the company who seemed to give a sh1t about the poker have left, which pretty much says all that needs to be said.

I was playing MTTs on I-poker and Stars at the same time and had no issues with them but every time I moved tables on Ongaming, everything froze and I timed out on all tables. I had to manually rejoin every table and reset my HUD for the table I was moved to. Sometimes you forget to rejoin a table and get blinded out. It disrupts my games on the other sites as well.

This should be a top priority for the Ongaming engineers to fix.

Being able to keep the same seat so the HUD doesn't have to be moved is essential as is tiling tables. These are basics that other sites have implemented. If other sites can do it then why not Ongaming?

It clearly can be done, as there are people 16 tabling without any issues.

Not sure which skin sexysandy69_ uses, it isnt Betfair, but he must be playing at least 16 tables at a time,including the 30 mans, and never seems to get discoed.

Just checked, and he's played just under 37,000 stts already this year.

Pain when freezes.

Mine seems to do so for something as little as a radio broadcast changing. No problem on any other.

Not much until recently. Glitch appears to be back an far too often.

It's worse if anything tonight. Playing a PLO mtt, a 30 man stt, and a 6 seat stt at the same time and its like pulling teeth. Every time I change table its freezing all tables for 20-30 seconds.

Horrendous.

Don't bother trying to play short handed MTT's at the same time as STT's. Laugh

The lag the last 24 hours, even just playing 2 tables, has been as bad as I've ever experienced.

Was on the same table as nick this morning who commented on it. Lag was so bad I couldn't even type a reply.

Changing tables is no different even when I'm playing just 1. Everything just freezes when I move. Haven't tried it without HEM running.

Guarantees are just about being met so expect another cut soon. Still that leaves a tiny bit of value if a tournie has a slight overlay.

I only played on Betfair/Ongame this a.m. Had absolutely nothing else running.
Was less runners in lobby.
Put a turbo 30 man SnG with a turbo 10 man.
No surprise to see chip as the 22 or above were not filling. Not seen on others i presume 4 same reasons.

LAG awful. Any table move just froze all BF. Worse when start more 30 players as more likely to move.

Went to pub for lunch & got a scones with cream & jam. So got a pot of tea too. TV was the queen again.

Fine on poker stars all afternoon & evening. 100% connection too so my internet was fine. Still lag on BF  on any table move froze. Gave up turbos as missing too much & sometimes was playing blinf. LAG when unfroze but not seeing cars....sic. Play at lot MTTs but 4 max at a time as action clearly freezing not just 4 me. Lots of wtf in lobby from presumably a Betfair player.

Just unreg 4 BF community. Think I'll play on stars until WSOP freeroll final. Try CC qualifying on sun only. & moan on here.

The thing is I'm having a bit of success since I moved back here and I want to stick around. The network compared to Stars is pretty soft and every game isn't reg infested. I want to put the volume here in MTTs but this lag is preventing me.

Maybe I misunderstood an earlier post but you can easily set a preferred seat with Ongame skins.
By:
Ovalman.
When: 07 Jun 12 10:54
My mistake, I never made my point clear enough.

I have preferred seat taken (been ages since I set it) it's just that Holdem Manager's HUD has to be reset on every new table. You have to click on the seat where HEM thinks you're at. I suppose it's not Ongaming's fault (why should they have to make their software to suit a 3rd party site) but it's a nuissance and Betfair is the only site where I have to do this. Considering a lot use a HUD nowadays, it surely must put players off playing here.

There was a software upgrade last night? Lets hope they fixed some of the issues especially moving on multi tables.
By:

When: 07 Jun 12 11:54
they have upgrades all the time and its never to improve anything , its probably just to lower the guarantees again as more people are leaving this stoneage site !!

Ah, ok, got you. I don't use a HUD and didn't quite realise what you meant.
By:

When: 07 Jun 12 18:49
@Ovalman

PT3 has an option where you can tell it that you are using a preferred seat on the Ongame network.  It then sets up your HUD correctly every time.

Does HEM not have something similar?
By:
Ovalman.
When: 07 Jun 12 19:25
I have preferred seating on HEM but only for 10 seats. No options are there for any less, no good when you play 5 handed STT.

Are you sure PT has the option for 5 and 6 seaters?
By:
HarryHatless
When: 07 Jun 12 22:59
I don't know.  Never played the 5 seat SNGs.
But it definitely works on 2max and 10max SNGs.  It also works at all cash tables (HU, SH, FR) regardless of how many are actually playing.
By:
HarryHatless
When: 08 Jun 12 01:09
Just checked.  PT3 deals with preferred seating in 6 seat DoNs perfectly well.  Still don't know about 5 seat SNGs but I'd imagine they're fine too.

Ok after the update\quick fix I thought I would test it.
So played 3mtt with big fields so would change tables often.
It was a lot better  but still froze all tables when I changed table .
It did not last long and I didn't have to shut it down so a little better.
SO ONE MORE PLANED UPDATE BETFAIR AND YOUR BE BACK
WHERE YOU STARTED

Today it logged me out already twice and it is 12:30. So presumably the emergency maintenance of Thursday morning wasn't to fix this (or the fix didn't work).

The second time was while playing my first game of the day:
a) The table comes up;
b) I click on a player's notes;
c) Software goes unresposive (as usual - NEVER ask the software to do two things at once).
d) I cannot play the first hand, arghhh;
e) the software shuts down and tries to restarts itself;
f) a white message says something like "the software is already running";
g) the main master window goes unresponsive with a message that I have to login again;
f) I use the broweser version to restart it.
In the meantime I lose another hand.

It is the BetUnfair's software because other clients on the ongame network don't have the same continuous problems. LEt's see if they run another 'bonus code' for a few aficionados like the April one.

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CLUE HOW TO REDUCE THE LAG???

I have been playing for more than 4 months multitabling SNG's 12-16 at a time and I only had very slight lag problems.
However the past few weeks  the LAG has been driving me crazy! I cant open 8+ sng without my games freezing!!! I asked Betfair what could be done to reduce the lag and they send me some updates for java/direct x which did not help at all.

If there is no solution to the lag problem I ll have to leave betfair for good...
Are the other skins on  ongame lag-free?

How do other players that place in the top 10 of the sng leaderboard can put so much volume? Why dont the experience the same lag problems as us? It doesnt make sense!
