I just cant see how Betfair can survive on a network where nearly half its player pool will be migrated to the Bwin.party network. Having said that, I also cant see that Betfair will be bothered in the slightest because they dont really seem to care about the poker side of things anyway!

Personally speaking I think going to Ongame was the biggest mistake betfair Poker has ever made and they have made a few.

I cannot see how it could possibly be worse if they were on a different network!

I agree HF. What network would you prefer them to join? You know, Ive said this before in a thread ages ago about when betfair moved from Crypto and then the likes of Interpoker, Littlewoods, Will Hill, Sun Poker etc etc followed suit and who they joined. Interpoker moved to Boss Media with a couple of other skins and to this day, I cannot see what benefit they got from that move. There are less players on there than there was on Crypto. Betfair had their own software which I think we will all agree was 1000 times better than where it is now, albeit it had a lot less players but a great community feel. Tbh, I dont know where I'd like Betfair to move to, but I'd hate it to move to the Ipoker network. If it became a skin on the new bwin.party network, I wouldnt mind, but only if they kept their rb because Party's reward system is a complete joke!

Reward systems don't affect me that much because I am not a high volume player.

Personally I would like them to join a network where they could have a lot of influence so it would have to be a network that needed Betfair's volume.

So Microgaming or Entraction would be two I would suggest.

Ipoker is just fecking horrible IMHO, the software is horrible and there are far too many skins so Betfair would not have the influence they would need.

Any small network would seriously want Betfair's business as they bring a lot of the 'right sort' of players and I am sure that they would have a strong negotiating position.

The problem is that in the meetings me and Chip have been to they have made it abundantly clear they are committed to the Ongame network and have no intention of leaving.

Ongame was sold to the new owners priced as a rotting hulk, they assume that it will probably collapse.  They only want the software to start up in the usa if laws are passed.
