I haven't played one of these before but Rob Yong has guaranteed the UKIPT leg at DTD at £1m. I have avoided them before as 4 day £500 tourneys have limited appeal. The guarantee was too good an opportunity to miss. I am pretty sure it is the Grand National weekend, which is the weekend after easter. The good thing is I am likely to be gone by the race start time.

They are having 3 start days, so if you want Friday I'd sign up pretty quickly. I signed up on the stars site, there are 30 seats already bought there and they have a limit of 100, so guess they'll be gone by the end of the week.
Anybody else fancy it? Keith, Klup, Wonky, Variance up for a DTD raiding party again? Wonky, you selling? Variance, you booking the hotel?

yeh should have mentioned the buyin has gone up. It wasn't a deliberate omission, that made it more likely I played too.
I expect selling 400 seats on the wednesday is a big ask. Even if they hit, the £250k for first still appeals. |

Im tempted to play Doobs - but £770 is above my budget in April.
I would not mind £300 buy in if i could sell 60% for the remaining £470. Also - happy to buy a piece of you wonky - if you decide to go. |

Have to cash some day in a live event I should be OK, as the buyin is less than the dreaded £1000. wp stars. It doesn't seem to be selling out as quick as I expected, still 30 odd tickets available on stars for the Friday. Please note: If you buy through stars anything over 2k goes in your stars account |

Booked Holiday Inn Nottingham, which is nearer the club than the one we stayed in last time. It is £65 a night, but taxi is probably a bit cheaper.

Well the good news is I had a 530% increase in bankroll since Wednesday thanks to binking virtually every tournie I've played in.
Bad news is BR still does not quite cover the entry :D |

Hi Doobs - looks very much like I will make it. But I actually can play day 1b or day 1c. I prefer 1c as I have football training on Saturday and ideally dont want a late friday.

Ive bought into Day 1b - tried to post here a couple days back but message "sorry you are not permitted to post here" popped up!

There is a queue out the door for late entries/alternates on day 1a. That is astonishing, I am hoping I can get in the door before the start time on Friday. I am going to have to set off early I think. It is going to well and truly bust the guarantee.
