If sufficent interest another tipping challenge will start this week and run through to the end of the Grand National meeting. Again this will be free to enter and will be primarily a fun event.

Each week you will be given a mythical amount to stake on set events, with special emphasis on things like the Cheltenham Festival. The winner at the end of the 5-6 weeks will get a Betfair Hoodie, with runners up getting Betfair Polo Shirts and Baseball Caps. I have the merchandise in my living room, so assuming the winners want the prizes, they should get them within 48 hours of the challenge ending.

As I said this is essentially a bit of fun so no aftertiming on bets or prices.

The first week, starting now, you have 2 x £100 mythical bets to be placed on football over the next 7 days. You cannot have the 2 bets on the the same game.

There should also be an announcement later today regarding a Sunday Forum/Community game starting next Sunday, and myself and Thrappers have wangled some decent added value for each weekly game out of the ever generous Betfair PR, so hopefully plenty of you will enter that too.

Those genuinely were the prices on the off Nick.

Obviously some of us were on OOSTHUZEN for real @ 24 and point blank refused to lay off near the end because we felt Bubba couldnt possibly win, what with him being a horrible, chokey, pink driver using ****.

The advantage of playing late with a 4 day event is that you are on a player who is in contention. The downside is that you dont get the fancy odds.

I suspect a few who backed Bubba to be top 10, are wishing they had gone 50 e.w. in the outrights instead at Ascot prices.

Burton as BF PR cant win a prize, and some wont want one, I can guarantee you a polo shirt for finishing in the top 4.

Obviously even with just one event to go, technically anyone apart from me could still win the thing if they find a 20-1 winner of the National. However with the Golden Lever functioning brilliantly, it does appear to be Keith A's title to lose.

There's a Betfair hoodie and more importantly extended bragging rights to the eventual Tipping Challenge King, and polo shirts and baseball caps for anybody posting a decent score. Sizes are Large and XL because thats what I was sent, and I will do my very best to get everything posted within a couple of days of the final event and anyone wanting a prize contacting me as long as I can afford the postage. I've never sent anything like this in the post before and have no idea what it costs, or what sort of envelopes to use ! Laugh
Report NickFiickTheOriginal April 10, 2012 9:15 PM BST
Thats OK mate. You are doing well on this. And well played the Brighton fan. Still we beat them 4-2 in FA cup some years back. The eldest nipper on my shoulders for 90 minutes. Torquay offering £20k for Jamie Ndah when I think they wanted our other striker. And then Mickey Droy our manager at the time quoting on match of the day that he was worth only 5 match balls and a set of training bibs...

I should have gone for wins for my lot from the off.

Genuinely first Augusta last day that I've watched for years. Fantastic albatross and Bubba's recovery at end from horrible tee shot. And then all the blubbering.

Nearly made up for the horrible suckouts I had at the end of a couple of tourneys on sunday night.

Looks like I'm looking for a 40/50-1 national winner. You may need a 100-1 shot.

Hi chip if you dont mind me asking how do you intend spending
your 120 live ticket you won.Got one sunday but if no tournaments
near home my ticket will go to waste.

It's a satelitte ticket mate. The actual game is on Sunday night with two 1.4k Prague packages guaranteed, and it normally only has about 20 runners. Standard is pretty poor. Its on exactly the same time as the Sunday Community game so we can all cheer you on when you play it. Grin

cheers m8
Report chipfire227 April 18, 2012 10:26 PM BST
Good luck, it's definitely the sort of satelitte our Community Players are capable of cashing in, and of course if you do, its an all expenses trip to Prague and the chance to win serious money ! Grin

Will be cheering you on too from rail unless we try and satellite in too.
