Question about levels

Let's see if I've figured this out. When you reach a monthly level let's say Gold you keep that for the next month and get x3 points for that month from the beginning. You don't get any boosters though it seems so I'm not sure if it comes out to that many more points.

But what about the annual levels. If I reach Master say in June I get x5 for the rest of 2012 no matter what? What about 2013?
