i got paid just over a dollar so i presume they divided the 2.5k between the 1500 starters

I got my ticket the week before you lot, played the MTT and lost, so count yourself lucky you degenerate misfits.
I got a payout on the tourney. Even with the payout, Betfair looks pretty bad in my opinion. No update to why this happened, and no replies to my specific emails regarding it. Whether I deserved the ticket(I joined in 2004 I think) or not they issued it, then dropped the ball.
