Is anyone from Betfair Poker winning at the tables since we switched to OnGame?  I haven't, to be fair I didn't win much with the old software but at least I wasn't constantly disconnected and had more fun with the speed of play.  Not complaining but wondering if anyone is winning or are the negative variance players the only ones complaining in the community forums?

Won on the old platform, winning on the new platform. Depends what type of games you play and what stake, but anyone who cant turn a profit playing stts up to $30 should probably give the game up.

I agree chipfire227, I win at lower stakes for a while, my leak is boredom and then I turn to complete gambling and poor bankroll management.

I probably look like a Bot to some players.  I don't expect to win though, I play more too pass time, and bad beat people :).

I do think OnGame to do a lot more to make the skin much more user friendly, but that's another thread.

I was a winning STT player on old software and am currently a winning player elsewhere but I can't beat the bingo structure of Ongaming STT's which means for more gambling earlier in a game.

I'm not blaming the RNG or my own style of play, there is a skill in winning, it's just I haven't found it yet.

The best player (Wulfman) I played at the stakes I'm at has left the site and that speaks volumes. I'm more or less gone although I do play from time to time.

I haven't spoke to wulfman for a while, but I'm pretty certain he would still beat the 10 dollar games on here, both stt, and mtt, which I assume he is doing on betfr3d.

The move from 9 seats to 10 seats and the reduction of blinds from 5 minutes to 3 in turbo games has deffo added a bingo element to games. Its also led to a big drop in my ROI. This has been offset by the resulting shorter games and increase in traffic meaning more cake.

gnash, like me, you must have lost a fair bit in 10 man d2ns to the eastern european poker school, but you must have won a good few quid this week with cake, leaderboard, and promo money ?

Wulfman encountered the same problems as me which was a totally different blind structure. I still haven't beaten it and it's probably more a mental thing that scares me from playing (scared of losing rather than confidence of winning)

Glad to hear Wulfy is on Fred (isn't that i-poker?) as I play mostly on Stars.

chip u think 5 dollers and 30 dollers the same game or is it if u play volume
the results turn out the same just wondering

I think my ROI is the same at 30 as it as at 5, which is about 9%. I find it a bit easier to take 30 dollar games more seriously, you also get fewer idiots which makes them less tilting.

In fact I think my ROI is positive at all levels from $2 to $60 apart from $20 games where I took a bit ofa shafting from the c0llusion school, before knocking them on the head.

I've always found it good to remember a comment I read somewhere years ago from Alan Cunningham, in which he said its not about how much you win when you run good, what makes someone profitable long term, is how little they lose when they run bad. Managing and minimising tilt which all of us suffer from is really important, if I'm having a bad run I knock it on the head for a bit, or switch games or sites. I went on a 1.2k downswing on here earlier this year, and switched to 888 and played some deep stack MTTS. Won most of it back, then came back here a binked a WSOP package.

Yes, I make a profit.  I find the low stake games incredibly easy (though I haven't played high here yet, I have started with a low bankroll

Just to add though, the longer and deeper the structure, the higher the ROI for winning players.

It would make sense for betfair to have shallow fast games, there is less swings for the 'gambling players who come over from the betting site' which betfair seem to prefer targetting.
I would say that, and the fact the bonus' aren't worth touching would suggest lots of gamblers and less skilled players, which in turn is good for the breakeven players who have less skilled players to play against

Most sites would prefer to target the gambling side of operations as it must be more profitable.  I play poker here mainly for the daily free rolls and because my options for poker sites are limited.

I just see a lot of complaints in the forum rooms about the site, so thought I start this thread.  Sometimes poker players forget that "gamblers" pump money into casino games, so to them a J4 off suit all in pre flop makes no difference.
