now, for a small moment of time, how about a little poker theory discusion?
AJ------you say its a hand of death, so lets have a quick look at it from my limited poker skills knowledge
you get it and raise, say 3-4 BBs and get reraised all in, stacks say 20-30 BBs, what do you do? Obviously depends on situation, heads up, short handed, full ring, MTT STT or cash game
for me, its a fold unless i'm HU at the end of a STT or i have notes on the shover in an MTT, cash, full ring, i'm folding AJ here
AJ, is not a GREAT hand, it is a GOOD hand, but you are so often dominated by a better Ace hand, or a pair is a loaded side coin toss
Raise with it, you could even reraise with it, but a call to a reraise is, imo, a little bit of a poop thing to do
i'll leave this to fester now, opening up for ridicule, or behind screen head shaking at my "that was ok 4 years ago" theories.
of course, it could just be that the OP is a bad poker player who really doesnt know the dif between a GOOD hand and a GREAT hand, or jus tcant fold to strength.
off for my first tatoo now, 38 and so far un-inked
Mick

Sorry but I have to disagree with OP, 63o is the hand of death on this site. Whenever I play it from early position I always get some lucky sod call me and I never seem to hit the flop hard enough.
As for AJ, I think it is the positive nutz, especially when up against AK/AQ AIPF.
