I cant run my poker client this evening.  I keep getting the "Update Failed.  Please contact support" message along with, "Can't open http://download.ongame.com/games/293/Q3YA/win32/ssc.txt"

Is anyone else having this problem?

I have contacted support, but it could take forever for them to get back in touch with any useful information.

This is getting frustrating now.  Support got in touch asking me to uninstall the client, update Java and then reinstall.  Absolute waste of time.  Already running latest version of Java but I followed their instructions anyway.

The only difference is that now the error message has changed from, "Can't open http://download.ongame.com/games/293/Q3YA/win32/ssc.txt" to "Can't connect to download.ongamenetwork.com"

The strange thing is that I am able to access those updatess via my browser.  Now if only I could persuade the poker client to install the updates from my harddrive instead of the net then I would be in business.

Am I really the only person having this problem?

Thanks.  I'll give that a try.

Thanks for the suggestion JoKeR373, I tried it but I seem to have a deeper problem.  Even reinstalling Java was a problem for me.  The auto-installer wouldn't work and refused to download the relevant files.  So instead I had to do a manual off-line install.

I thought it might have been a problem with my firewall, but even turning off the firewall hasn't worked.
