I know it started as a joke (which Dave attempted to join in with - again, thanks for trying big man) but if the TD bangs his mic (twice) one more time and says "pliers" instead of "players" I'm going to find a hardware store, buy some pliers, and attach them to his genitals. I will then fix some wire to the pliers, and every time he bangs his mic I will invite passers by to tug vigorously on the wire. Twice.

Anyway, back to the action...

When is a final table NOT a final table?

Is it:

a) When the TD keeps saying it's not (even though it clearly is the final/last/only remaining table)

b) When we've invested 15 minutes moving everyone to the final table (which, remember, is NOT the final table) but want to keep something 'exciting' back to take us to the dinner break

c) When the TD LOVES the microphone so much he wants to spank it non-stop (and if this were the final table he'd have to stop)

No prizes offered.

Ok, all tournament directors miss that point that you surprisingly discovered, but the problem is that. I make a payout structure with a 9-final table, 10th place earns same money as 13th, I have 2 choices:

-Make the bubble in a two 5-handed hand to hand mode (players in general don´t like that)
-Make the bubble in 1 table, easier for everybody (mandatory following TDA)

This is 2003 WSOP, 10 players remain in 1 table, and it´s not THE FINAL TABLE. Moneymaker eliminates Ivey

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nWbBcC8iM4.

Ivey only reaches final table in November nine, but not that year

Gus Hansen was eliminated in Partouche in last table, but it wasn´t the final table.

Even in Spain we have a hard discussion when Juan Maceiras, a Spanish player that finishes in 9th place in a EPT (again, one table, AND NOT THE FINAL TABLE) and he claimed that made a final table (he will get afterwards twice, but not in that tournament) and poker press not

And tell us Waster, when a final table "plier" gets same money as a 13th place in two tables?
