I know it started as a joke (which Dave attempted to join in with - again, thanks for trying big man) but if the TD bangs his mic (twice) one more time and says "pliers" instead of "players" I'm going to find a hardware store, buy some pliers, and attach them to his genitals. I will then fix some wire to the pliers, and every time he bangs his mic I will invite passers by to tug vigorously on the wire. Twice.
Anyway, back to the action...

Linn also won a monster pot and now has a huge stack.
This is mainly due to my pep talk with her in the last break whilst her boyfriend gave her a shoulder massage!

b) When we've invested 15 minutes moving everyone to the final table (which, remember, is NOT the final table) but want to keep something 'exciting' back to take us to the dinner break
c) When the TD LOVES the microphone so much he wants to spank it non-stop (and if this were the final table he'd have to stop)

We almost lost a plier when the short stack went all in pre flop with Jacks and was called by 10 A The flop came an exciting Q K Q however the turn and river were a dull 3 then 9. So we still have 10 left on the final table (which isn't a "final" table) Clear??

I think that The Waster and BFPRM are both well out of order.
The TD has explained at least 17 times to the thickets that a final table has nine and a last table has 10.

Just tuned in always a blast, surprised klup, twodogs and varno arent out there, worried that HF went on his own and 'no hablo espanol', for all those who dont know, the ft count is made at the beginning of the tournament, for instance the uk&i pt ft is 8 players but quite often use one table from 10 down to 8, so if this tourny has a rule that the ft has 9 pliers on it, then it is in fact the last table running in the room but not the final table of the comp. hope that helps. and c u all again in another month or so hello to all and gl on the tables

...you get an ashtray (no charge) and all your new Finish friends go out (without you), have a ruddy good time (again, without you) and then come back (with your ashtray) wearing sombreros.
Now PLEASE can everyone stop emailing in asking about this. Thanks.

klup.. thats a matter of opinion.. at the time of the deal he was 5th.. 5k means he gets what he would if he got 3rd.. Should he be so lucky and win it he gets another 3k = 8k which is what 2nd gets.. so i dont think its that bad

Ok, all tournament directors miss that point that you surprisingly discovered, but the problem is that. I make a payout structure with a 9-final table, 10th place earns same money as 13th, I have 2 choices:
-Make the bubble in a two 5-handed hand to hand mode (players in general don´t like that) -Make the bubble in 1 table, easier for everybody (mandatory following TDA)
This is 2003 WSOP, 10 players remain in 1 table, and it´s not THE FINAL TABLE. Moneymaker eliminates Ivey

Ivey only reaches final table in November nine, but not that year

As I'm sure you probably guessed deep down, we were mucking about in our posts. We all knew what you were doing - especially cosidering I was the one that told you to do it this way (I was the chap with the goatee beard you had the "how would you like the Final Table" meeting with!)
It was exactly as we had agreed (i.e. as per EPT last nine/last ten, etc.) and you and your guys did an absolutely excellent job executing the final table (and indeed the last table!)
We were just bored waiting for someone to get knocked out and amusing ourselves on the forum.
Thanks again to you and your crew. As a special thanks I'm having Betfair-branded pliers made and shipped over for you and all your poker/DIY enthusiast friends!
All the best!
