Having had my attention drawn to this promotion I felt obliged to enter, despite being possibly the worlds worst cash player, and having zero idea how many hands I would need to play to generate 50 points. For starters can somebody give me some advice on precisely how badly I played this hand ? The only thing I thought I'd got right at the time was the size of the value bet on the river, but having seen what he had, I suspect he would have called a shove on all 3 streets:
TEXAS_HOLDEM, NO_LIMIT, R5-187744889-677 played at "Salinas" for USD RM from 2011-10-30 17:28 until 2011-10-30 17:29 Seat 1: storrrr ($75.94 in chips) Seat 3: pbenno ($64.82 in chips) Seat 4: B_Goode ($48.50 in chips) Seat 5: chipfire227 ($48.48 in chips) Seat 9: Grem0946 ($68.95 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS Grem0946 posts small blind ($0.25), storrrr posts big blind ($0.50), PRE-FLOP pbenno raises to $1.50, B_Goode calls $1.50, chipfire227 calls $1.50, Grem0946 folds, storrrr folds. FLOP [board cards: KH,QD,9D ] pbenno checks, B_Goode bets $4, chipfire227 calls $4, pbenno folds. TURN [board cards: KH,QD,9D,8D ] B_Goode bets $9, chipfire227 calls $9. RIVER [board cards: KH,QD,9D,8D,KC ] B_Goode checks, chipfire227 bets $15.75, B_Goode calls $15.75. SHOWDOWN chipfire227 shows [ KD,QC ] B_Goode mucks cards [ AC,AD ] chipfire227 wins $59.75. |

50 player points is a lot more than50 betfair points. u generate 3.25 player points per 1 dollar u are given in cake. so in answer to chipfire his 59 dollar pot he won if he was an average player would of earned u between 4 to 5 player points. |

thanks @gnashersblackpool
I really don't see why BF have to have two different methods for earning points - one for poker and then one for betfair points. wtf aren't the poker points just the same value and everything like bonuses and prizes scaled accordingly... c0cks. It seems i'll have to play a few more hands tonight then, but not sure i can be ar%Sed... |

The +1 site doesn't update as quickly as the poker lobby.
I double-tabled for low stakes over the weekend to qualify for this and it worked fine. |

Cheers gnash, I also thought poker points and player points were one and the same thing. Will give this a miss now as would probably have to play all night tonight to qualify.

Pity i did not reply sooner chip ... but 50 pts, is $14 rake. Was not hard to accomplish

Yeah I ended up playing 0.25/0.50 for an hour last night and in the end was just seeing every flop to ensure I got enough points.
Cost me about 20 dollars. ![]() |

I did this in conjunction with the PokerPAL software so to get hands just playing my normal game. Rarely play cash and when you see same names sitting on the few tables you know even in micros that there are loads out to get you.
Never fired up more than 2 and they were straight 9 handed 15c/30c ($30 max) NLHE. Calculator moved pretty quickly, then started slowing. Updates were just not in conjunction that's all (much the same as any other leaderboard really). Don't start too late that's all I'd say, and ignore the advice to see every flop and get stuffed by TAGs looking for those chasing rake races. Not that i was bothering to look over the weekend. Not sure why I want a Playstation 3. My eldest (21) had his card details hacked and just about everything else in his on-line life, so perhaps its because I can give him another one for Christmas and let him make the same mistake again. My youngest (17) is more happy with his lap top than his playstation. Or perhaps I should just hang up my footie boots at 49 and play FIFA12 instead. Still think FIFA98 was best and that was on a really old PC that has only just packed up. Never quite got Madden to beat my kids when they were growing up - they just randomly pressed buttons quickly and stuffed me whatever game we played. And shoot-em ups just don't interest me. Any decent strategy games out there? See you on Nov 6. |

Nick: Leisure Larry :)
My lads have 2x wii, xbox and a PS3 in their play room. However they very seldom ever play tv games in there. They only seem to want to play when we move the gadgets into the lounge, then we have issues as its fifa 11 all day long and wife gets the hump. I got a brand new PS3 sitting in the box in the cupboard. If i win another on Sunday, I will open this one up for the lounge. |

I dont even know what a PS3 is, but I'm sure my daughters would be over the moon with one. Primarily wanted to qualify because I like promotions like this, where there's a massive field for what is essentially a satelitte.
Unfortunately by opening registartion so early again, it will probably be a farce where your chances of winning depend solely on how many discos there are at your table/tables in the first hour. There will be people getting massive stacks simply by pressing bet every hand at tables where everyone else is no show. |

this is totally correct, thou its a ongame promo, mayb this could b brought up at yer next meeting to some1 that understnds how the dyanamics opf these sats/games are played. for 40/50 people its a lotto draw for which table u get drawn on, 9 disconns and congrats your a WINNER. |
