"Some of you like it and some don't!"

I think you have to split down the ones that like it into two categories too - the half that are blind and the half that are being sarcastic.

According to the survey (so far) 55% like it and 45% don't!

so that means it needs to be changed
you want over 70% liking the colour tbh

I couldn't give a monkeys about the colours. I am waiting for BetfairPRManager to answer the questions put in the other threads: What exactly is the Player Evaluation System and and what did Mr Bertlisson explicitly mean when he said Ongame needed to 'help the fishes'.

Ill keep this nice and simple seeing that the BetfairPR decided to remove my post. IMO (and everyone's entitled to an opinion BetfairPR), Betfair poker is NOT 100% random. I made a deposit today for the 1st time in a long time, didnt have to play too many hands to see that what goes on here is a joke. Set-up after set-up and we're talking hands that no poker player in the world can get away from, i flopped a set three times only for a miracle 2 outer on the river to do me each time amongst other ridiculous hands. I will NEVER EVER play here again, the only reason i did so was because of the 30% rb i still get but ill sacrifice that for a fairer game. Post what u like to reply to this, but if u all cant see what goes on in front of ur very own eyes is totally not above board, then u deserve all u get.

Does the software work with PLO ?

I've just had an email inviting me back to experience the great new Betfair poker skin aka a change of colour.
I have five questions:

1. Do you do anything about cheating yet?
2. Do any of your poker team know anything about poker?
3. If the answer to the above 2 questions is "no", (and I assume it is), are the two connected, just possibly?
4. What is the 'player evaluation system'?
5. Exactly what is meant by "We are really trying to make the software be attractive to fish"?

Not holding my breath.

Annie

Our product manager was debating whether to change the colour of the cards to a less garish yellow.
I told him I would gather feedback before he did this.
I asked the question if people like it or not and asked them for comments.
The data suggests more people like it (60%) than do not (40%)so we are keeping it.

What is wrong with that?
By:

why pick a colour that 40% dont like ?

When you could choose a better colour that 90-100% do like ?

Tone it down Betfair.
By:

When: 10 Oct 11 13:42
I think we will tone it down in the future but we have to work to our brand colours which are limited.
It was a useful exercise and one that I wanted to get your feedback on.

considering bf branding in recent years has been yellow after previously tending to b blue, why not have them a less bright yellow colour?

or introduce an option of various colours where people can pick, like othe rsites have ,even your oldpoker champs software has a choice of 3

Hi Phoenix - what question would you like answered?
By:

When: 10 Oct 11 15:53
me - not a great deal but others have posted a few on this and various other threads which seem to be ignored
if you put yourself up on here in a bid to improve the site PR and product confidence then you can keep ignoring the regulars when they ask questions that you dont like

3 to start with for you

1) We have a fraud / integrity department here in UK and there is a dedicated one at Ongame HQ. We are just battling with Ongame to release the data that proves who we have caught and how much is being re-distributed to players.
2) Would you like to go head to head in a poker quiz - challenge accepted!
3)The answer to the above two questions was yes so this question is not valid ! Love
4) Explanation of the player evaluation system is coming in the next 6 weeks on our site (with our upgrade). Although there are explanations on the net we are putting together an FAQ with examples for you.
5) Simple explanation from a PR guy. The poker world relies on fish and new customers. Good players (sharks) should be able to win and profit from the game by being better than the rest. Fish on the other hand need supporting and encouragement as they are losing players. If we were to offer incentives for high rollers then the eco system would die as they would have nothing to feed on. By gearing our promotions and model towards the fish the idea is to keep everyone happy. The fish are happy that they are being looked after and therefore stay whilst the sharks can still profit and enjoy the new fish that we bring to the table.

Without plankton there would be no whales.

I am quite surprised you are happy to call your valued customers 'fish', a derogatory term. It's a bit like bringing out a new beauty product and saying it's perfect for ugly people. Tends not to attract many. I feel this initiative has a lot more to do with keeping affiliates happy than keeping fish happy. And I wanted a categorical statement that it only involved tweaking the bonus structure as opposed to anything more sinister.

Fish isn't derogatory. Over 80% of poker players are not winning players. Should we just call them losers instead lol ?!?

If you don't think Fish is derogatory you should check a few sites with poker definitions. I will look forward to your next marketing campaign along the lines of: 'Are You A Fish? Come play at Betfair where we have jigged the software so you don't lose your money quite as quickly as at other sites'.

I'll fill it out. It's ok. I've seen better colour schemes, I've seen worse colour schemes. The truth though is that colours are kind of irrelevant. What's important are the game offers and bonuses. Put up more turbo guaranteed tournaments, more "betfair only" tournaments etc. and I'll play if the screen has purple and green polka dot avatars.

BTW, survey monkey is very over rated. There are much better survey programs out there like SPSS's survey developer or if you prefer online then question pro. With those you can generate a lot more text questions which will delve more into the reasoning than a simple survey and provide you much more feedback.

No 1. Re-distributed to players? Never mind the 'How much?', let's go for the "How?" Cheating in your own chat box was happening and the same players were doing it again and again - as I'm sure many on here would tell you.

No 2. Let's both have a chat with former professional player and well known poker pundit and TV presenter, Mr Caspar Berry. Then after he's put you right....

No 3. They weren't 'Yes' were they? On your own admission No. 1 lacks evidence. Oh, and so does No. 2.

No 4. 6 weeks to explain this system that is supposed to be transparent and easily understood?

No 5. Which PR guy? At what level? And again...evidence that that is what was meant, and that is occurring? Again - some transparency.

Now, try going round your tables, picking out the losing players and calling them "fish", in a non-derogatory manner of course, while also mentioning you work for Betfair. Then see how many of them take their business elsewhere, and how many stay.

What the frick plankton and whales have to do it with it is anyone's guess. Without cyano-bacteria I wouldn't be typing this tripe.
Much more aposite:
If bingo had negative expectation, there's be no bingo players.

Oh...wait a minute.
