If you look at the leaderboard you will find one UK player in the top 40. None of us are interested in multitabling 18 hours a day to compete with account sharing, colluding, Eastern Europeans,on a leaderboard updated once every millenium, because, frankly, we have lives. , Though I for one would be delighted to see the rules changed because at the moment only games under 25 dollars are included, which means the 20 dollar games are riddled with Hungarian and Romanian players probably all shacked up in the same caravan, taking their full timebank over every decision, presumably while they all look at each others cards and discuss how to play each hand.Which is mind numbingly tedious.
HTH.

The one good thing about the STT Leaderboard is that it gives the geographical location of players, something we have been asking for.
I played a 20 dollar D2N game think it was Friday night where 3 players sat next to each other were taking their full timebank over every decision, never once played a hand against each other and were making what on the face of it were ridiculous folds when getting bet at by one of the other two despite getting superb odds to call.
When I checked the leaderboard all 3 are from the same country, and it isnt a big one. In my head I knew this would be the case without even looking.
The Stts on here used to be played by Greeks,Spaniards, Cypriots, Italians etc, now its nearly all Romanians, Hungarians and Latvian multitablers. Yet when I asked at the Q and A session I was told the overwhelming majority of poker players are UK based.
Not in D2NS they isnt. [;)][;)]

There seems to be an acceptance that the high stakes grinders are going to play on stars where the fees are lower, theres more variety in terms of games, and obviously a huge player pool so not much waiting time for games to fill.
Rather than chuck money at a handful of high stakes stt players who have no long term loyalty to the site, via expensive promotions and cake deals, they are trying to build a big pool of players at the 10-20 dollar level. These will be made up of hardcore eastern european multitablers, the recreational regs, and the standard sports book gamblers killing time between events. They will play games with plenty of profit margin for the site i.e. turbo games with 3 minute blinds and d2ns at 10% rake, maybe even the odd heads up game at 10% too.
In fairness the strategy is working, there's a 10 seater 20$ turbo starting every minute or two throughout the day and night, and even the standard turbos and 30 mans fill pretty quick.
Before the move to Ongame me, gnash, and rivv, could sit for half an hour waiting for a 25 dollar 9 man to start.
