Entered the GSOP1 tonight. Played for about 90 mins and became disconnected. Reconnected. Joined client with no problem but game tabele wouldnt open, just kept saying connecting to table.........

Reset router, rebooted pc. Same problem. Tried my netbook. Same problem. Phoned my mate who mlives a mile away and asked him to try and log in. He had the same problem.

So obviously not a PC or internet issue.

Phones poker helpdesk. The guy hadn't heard of the GSOP, thought I meant the Championchip. I had to explain that that wasn't on tonight...

He said update java (ffs). I did that, obviously didnt work. He will raise it with ongame........

This could be the last straw. Was nicely above average and now I just know I'll have to fight just to get my buy in back.

Happy days Sad

I can open any other table in the game, just not my own...............
Report wingdings2 September 25, 2011 9:54 PM BST
Had to wait for my table to collapse before I was able to rejoin on a new table. Have gone from having 50% above average to 30% below. Been out the game for 1hour 20 mins

I take it that you never really recovered in tonight's GSOP.
Report wingdings2 September 26, 2011 2:10 AM BST
Made a reasonable recovery to get competitive and got close to the money. Then get mullared by one of those beats that only ongame can serve up.

I've played less and less here of late and I think whilst I've always felt a loyalty to Betfair, I really don't think I can stomach ogame any more.

Unlucky mate. It stinks here sometimes. I'm 5/50 but just one bad move away, or one suck out or two.

Just made it to 10 hrs and busted out in 19th. Never recovered from hand below.

UL Nick, great effort though.

Betfair refuse to believe I had anything other than a few minor local connection issues, despite the fact that I was unable to connect to my table for about 90 mins. It will be their loss ultimately.
Report boardroom September 26, 2011 4:42 PM BST
I also had a similar issue last night, table not opening at all. Other tables opened, betfair also refused to take any blame...Joke site

At least a free seat into a gsop tourney should have been forthcoming
Report wingdings2 September 26, 2011 4:53 PM BST
That's interesting Boardroom, it is obviously a bug in the software. Betfair told me that no other players had similar issues................
Report wingdings2 September 26, 2011 4:59 PM BST
Were you playing the GSOP1 game as well boardroom?
Report The Klup September 26, 2011 4:59 PM BST
WingDing2 ... my complete sympathy.

I had several issues myself with the GSOP series last year - totally destroyed my frame of mind, my game and as a result I unregistered from all GSOP events and took a much needed break from Ongame. Sadly no full tilt for me to go to if it happens again this time!
Report wingdings2 September 26, 2011 5:06 PM BST
Hi M8.

Unless I get at least an acknowledgement that what I said happened, happened, I will be taking a permanent break.
Report NickFiickTheOriginal September 26, 2011 5:33 PM BST
Both of you. i lost my broadband myself but only for 20-25 minutes. Just before add-on in rehab (so missed that), also missed 5 minutes of the turbo that started at 830.
Blind levels were low for me in GSOP1 at time but frustrating. I also happened to get blinded out and bubbled in a stars tournament I was playing in at the time. My problems were not just betfair/on-game.

What I will say is that it was easier for me to get Stars back and running then it was for betfair/Ongame. Fortunately it seems that I got all my tables up and running including the biggest buy-in I had $200.

On wingdings side it was quite obvious an issue - I could sense complete frustration - and going from 50% above average to 30% below was a long time out without any resolution - particularly as it seemed to be a table break that got able to use his chips. I was half expecting the site to crash at anytime because of the volume in a tournament being larger than normal (and nowhere near what stars - I was in 2 $11 buyins at 1830 and 1900 there).

At start of a big series they ought to have more customer support - and at least know about poker and being able to do something about it. It is a coin-flip when I phone up (and it will only be about a poker IT issue)that they can sort it there and then.

With sympathy,

Nick

"Phones poker helpdesk. The guy hadn't heard of the GSOP, thought I meant the Championchip."

At this point, you should have heard a gun fire off!

This helpdesk simply do not actually have a passion about their jobs. They simply DO NOT CARE.

This happened to me last week in the community game would not connect me to the table was out for 15 minutes then came back on.
