Can't currently download poker sites to my work laptop so going to invest in a personal one. Anyone know if an IPad is a good way to go when the main use would be playing poker and general browsing the internet or are there any particular features I should be looking out for if I go with a laptop?
ipad poker will always be behind the download clients since so few players use those apps so they aren't updated often. Will change when itunes give more regions access to poker apps.

You cannot play via iPad directly. You need to have some sort of VPN app on your ipad that lets you manage your home computer through the ipad. You are then playing poker on your home computer, but in fact are using the ipad to control the computer.
Seen one person playing pokerstars in this manner, but never tried it myself.
