Hi there,

I've just seen the new format for the Kunkuwap ambassador challenge

I think its a good idea (For those that like sports)

Although a day out at a sports event doesn't appeal to me, Playing kunku wap DOES

Therefore I would like to make a suggestion for the poker team to consider in the future

As a poker player, I look to improve my game. We DON'T all get the chance to play pro's regulary

Something like this tournament / League would surely appeal to ALL ONLINE players

IF :

We won cash prizes

And / Or

Maybe had the chance to play say a 1 hour session vs the betfair sponsored pro with a starting bankroll of whatevers accumalated throughout the competition, Or even for a seat in the main event of the year

If the games say $5, We pay $7 or whatever it would have to be to make this possible to cover the cost

John kunku wap Tabatabai is known to us for his POKER, And yet the prize is NOT POKER related

C'mon kunku, Sort something out

I thought you were a pro 5LEEPY?

I'm into my 3rd year of playing poker, I typed that above because that way somebody DOES have a chance to go on and do something for themselves in the poker world

Big money opportunitys, At affordable prices

Betfair have a pro to work with, And If they come up with some good POKER RELATED ideas. I believe TEAM betfair can discover new talent / Create more pro's

I dont know the present situation, But it seems to me like betfair are losing more professional players than they are keeping

Kunku has done it, He's a PRO PLAYER

----------

So why the prize on offer is a day out at a sports event with a PRO poker player is beyond me

----------

When he could be doing something in the poker world, And working towards producing more players and improving the game for the site which is sponsoring him whilst offering more opporunitys to other players

Great prizes BF, I'm sure 5LEEPY will donate his prize back to the site in return for an hours humiliation playing hu with Kunku.

Please stop moaning about freebies 5leepy.

C'mon now,

Surely it makes sense to have the poker pro work with the players

It's like going to a boxing dinner show, And the first prize of a competition being to go and watch the world tiddlywinks championship with tyson

(I dont think this would appeal so much to boxing / Tyson fans)

lol

I'm not saying kunku is tyson, But I'm sure he could make more of a impact at the tables rather than at some stupid football match

I'm NOT moaning about freebies, In fact If you scroll back to earlier in the thread you will see I suggested players pay more for a game to accumulate enough to cover the costs and to give an opportunity for someone to win a nice big juicey amount at the end off it

If kunku's gonna be an ambassador for the game, They may aswell work together to his full potential (In the time they have)

He is now the only sponsored PRO player that I know on betfair, So in my eyes it would make sense for betfair to introduce more games with opportunitys for the players to play the sponsored pro with prizes that make people say

WOW,  I want to play at BETFAIR which would bring more players to the game

Give him a pay rise, Whatever

He is supposed to be the face of betfair, I DEMAND betfair have fresh talks with kunku and give the customers what they want

PS : I dont do the lottery

As 2nd gets $250 I'd imagine Betfair will give you the prize and a travel allowance into the bargain. Reckon each package could be worth $1k imo.

lol at 5leepy DEMANDing betfair renogotiate their contract with John.

I am sure John wouldn't mind you playing him. You can find him at the 2/4 and 3/6 cash tables.  I am sure he won't mind if you sit.

5LEEPY would put Kunku in his place. 5LEEPY cashed in 14 straight 10 cents games in a row bet Kunku has never had that streak.

I do voluntary work on the rough council estate where I live on a Wednesday night, so can't really play this very often. Having said that the twice I have played it I've won enough to buy into a decent local live event, so not sure what the issue is here ?

There's cash to be won every Wednesday, theres a decent stash to be won from the leaderboards, and I've no doubt someone on here would give you a decent wedge if you had to sell the winners package.

The games themselves run for about 4 hours, so the setup is ideal for the recreational player who wants a decent game/nights sleep. The standard is good given its about 4 quid to play, the crack at the tables is usually good ,it's restricted to the BF community, and you now have JT giving a running commentary on your play at the final table.

Lets at least give them some credit when they run a decent promo.

I don't often play it, but fully respect the game and the concept behind it.

Its a good promo, excellent value especially for a recreational player, and I think the sporting prizes are super - there are zillions of poker prizes out there and having a poker prize linked to sports events might entice the odd sports regular to have a go at poker.

THATS HOW & WHY I STARTED PLAYING POKER!!

Well i have read everything and i would have to agree with Sleep, i use betfair for poker only and if im playin in a poker league i would expect the prizes to be poker related not to go watch some other sporting event which i more than likely aint intersted in. If i wanted to go to the sporting vent in the 1st place wouldnt i of alrady bought myslf tickets?

Thanks for the feedback.
Glad you like the look of it !
If you don't want to take up the sporting tickets I am sure we can arrange an equal value equivalent.

Its a community tournie, its meant to be a bit of fun.We will be playing for hard cash every Wednesday, and the majority of the league prizes are also cash. If you are lucky enough to win the thing outright, you will have already won a tidy sum, so moaning about the prize, given its a freebie, seems parsimonious, especially as its a something which you can sell anyway.

BF are throwing a tidy sum at this every week already given the relatively small numbers that play it ( there was a 35% overlay a few weeks back ) so it seems bizarre that when they hoy in something extra on top of that, people still find something to gripe about. There's folk complaining that dont even play the thing !!!!

It is nice to see you bringing some classy vocabulary to the forum but I am not sure that you have used parsimonious in the correct context.  [;)]Love

Cheers for the reply BetfairPRManager,

I was NOT complaining about the prize on offer here, I was simply suggesting something I would like to see in the future

Imagine your playing a video game and after each level you get to compete against the main man

Well, The main man is kunku

(Kunku would NOT have to take part until the end)

A poker league / Challenge that will take dedication and skill, Where all roads lead to kunku. And IF the online player defeats him they have a seat in the WSOP MAIN GAME where they have a chance to become a professional just like he kunku

- - - - - - -

I also realise that the original thread did NOT state that kunu is attending the sporting event, And I'm sure a lot of players will appreciate the time he IS putting into this promotion already

Parsimonious means niggardly dont it ? stingy ? one who is grudging ?

Dunno, just seemed a bit mean spirited when you is gettin summat for nowt to be complaining that it could have been something nicer and saying you is not wanting it.

Seems shan as owt to me like, similar to when i is getting all my family kittens for christmas last year innit ?

I can only take that as a compliment Ovalman

CHEERS !

MTT's + STT's are my main game

But If I can play kunku on the cheap tables then I see it as a cheap self learning experience that I should be keeping my eyes open for

(I wont spoil this thread any more)

All the best vs others at the tables people

Just a minor point Joker, but the $250 added, is not there now, so I guess they are using that to pay for the additional prizes. However the promotion is a good one and my name is down.
