If Denyy1 thought there was a good chance he was in front of the all-in at that stage (which indeed he was) then trying to push the third hand out of the pot (which he did successfully)in case he gets lucky is a legitimate move. In this case of course it was the all-in who got lucky on the river with a straight flush.
But there's a lot to be said for '2 hands are better than 1' when there's a chance of eliminating someone. Personally, I wouldn't have bet those queens. I'd have just checked it down.
Well that's sort of fair enough in my opinion. If Denyy1 thought there was a good chance he was in front of the all-in at that stage (which indeed he was) then trying to push the third hand out of the pot (which he did successfully)in case he gets luc
Your raise should have been much higher as you had 4 callers in front of you. With QQ you want to isolate - and avoid a situation where 4 others to see the flop. You are also on the Big Blind, which means you will be out of position after the flop, which makes it even more difficult because nearly any flop except Q72 rainbow becomes scary.
As soon as the first player calls your raise, the other three become more likely to make the call and any flop other than Q72 rainbow becomes scary.
Next time you are on the BB, holding QQ, and the blinds are 30/15. If you have 4 callers ahead of you, raise to 300/400 - or just check!

I was assuming he posted it as an example hand similar to the previous one. Which it isn't!
Hope that makes sense now although I would have though it was pretty obvious.

Nearly identical to yours. And i played it (without thinking - very similar to how i suggested you play your QQ).
I also got a few callers, and they BOTH flopped something which put me in big danger. Luckily i won the hand!

On blinds 10/20 if i raise 400 i think all fold as most of players here know that I very rarely bluff but you played it much better then me atleast you won it [:)]

Deny, I think your pre flop raise is just right (2x BB + 2 BB's). Over raising big hands is a tell at low stakes (which I make a note) and it will cost you in the long run. Klup's style means he can get away with it as you never have a clue what he plays but at our stakes sticking to ABC usually works. Keeping your raises consistent is the important point.
BTW Klup, I disagree with over raising. I feel it will cost you more chips in the long run.

Sorry Ovalman but I have to agree with the Greek donk here.
Deny's raise in this hand just invites other players to play and QQ or even AA doesn't play well 4 or 5 handed and even a 10 high flop can bring about catastrophic losses, the much bigger raise (I think 140ish would be enough) means chances are you will be playing the hand heads up and all of a sudden QQ becomes a strong hand again.
If they all fold they all fold but much better to win a small pot than lose a big one.

With four callers inside of you? No chance. In this day and age there are too many who try to be "creative" with 34 suited (me included).
Ovalman, get on your bike!

Sorry I'm a numpty, my standard pre flop raise is 2xBB + a BB added for every player in the pot. I thought there was 2 in front of Deny hence my 2xBB + 2BB quote. I really need to visualise hands to understand them, I can't get the gist of a hand history just reading the text. I'd raise that up to 240, might even donk all in although probably not.
