THE eagerly awaited Betfair Poker LIVE! Tour schedule has been announced today and poker players across Europe will be delighted to see that the first venue will be the magnificent city of Dublin on September 23rd -25th 2011
Last year’s Betfair Poker LIVE! Season was hugely popular with our customers and local poker players. The tour visited five cities across Europe including London, Prague, Vienna, Tallinn and Odessa with nearly 1,000 poker fans participating in tournaments to chase their dream of becoming a Betfair Live champion, and a share of the prize pools on offer.
This year’s tour will be better than ever. The structure of the events and the buy-ins have been tweaked slightly to make them more appealing to recreational players who want to experience the buzz of an offline tournament as well as experience the legendary Betfair hospitality in some of Europe’s most glamorous cities. This season will take in visits to Dublin, Costa Brava, London and Prague.
The tour starts next month at the historic Fitzwilliam Casino & Card Room in Dublin. The venue has a capacity of 160, so places are bound to be in high demand. Each event will have the same buy in and structure of $600 + $50, however, this year there is the unique twist of each event being an eliminator style tournament. Each player will have a bounty of $100 on their head, making for an action packed event where every hand has the potential to earn players money.
Qualification for the tour will be exclusively on Betfair Poker and there are tournaments to suit all wallets including qualification via free rolls. Players will also have the ability to buy into the tour directly via their Betfair accounts.
As well as the non-stop poker action, lucrative side events, and cash game players will also be able to experience unforgettable hospitality in the form of free drinks (plenty of the Black stuff in Dublin!) food and local entertainment.
