Why? Blocker bets mean their hands weak, you WANT THEM to call if you're raising it. Unless your bluffing someone who obviously has hit the board, then your stupid. If they hit their draw, so what, they drew to it at the wrong price. The next two times they do it and miss you get paid everything back. Simples.

i totally diagree with you saying "Unless your bluffing someone who obviously has hit the board, then your stupid",i know when they put in the weak bet on the river its to stop me from raising and not to induce a raise, because they only have 2nd or 3rd pair and want a cheap showdown so i raise big knowing any sort of decent player couldnt make this call but bad players cant fold any hands,i know your next argument is going to be then wait for a hand and get paid of by them but its not going to be profitable sitting around waiting for the nuts all night,by the time you do anyway they will have run off as soon as they have won a big pot
