I was reading the poker player magazine, recommended by the poker forum,  when I saw an article on omaha.  I usually ignore anything about omaha but as it was in the magazine in seemed stupid not to read it.  However, it did revive my interest in omaha and I played it today and I think I am in love  Love  When I played it before, a long while ago, I think I did not know enough about poker to play it, but it seemed easier today and I really enjoyed it.  Any ideas. or tips how to play?

I have several poker books but they only give a few pages to omaha and nothing really about strategy.  While I am waiting for some books on omaha, is there anything on the net I can read?  I know I can google it, but that takes so much time on my slow computer Sad

That book is only good for full ring, play like that in short handed games and you'll get crucified. Jeff Hwang also wrote two Omaha books based on online 6max so look for them as they are more useful. I have one of them but haven't read it yet!

Thank you, yorky pud, I will look them up on amazon.

While on amazon I saw a book about 6 max omaha and bought it as it was recommended on there, but I was very disappointed as it assumes you can play 6 max omaha, it is not a beginners book  Sad

Yorky Pud and Modjadji, have you any suggestions for a beginners book on 6 max omaha.  I have just looked on there and there does not seem to be one.

The book you've ordered is a good starting point, I've read it and would recommend it for a complete beginner so you get the grasp of the game. Then read Hwang's six max books

Another one you could try is Rolf Slotboom's "Secrets of Professional Pot Limit Omaha"

I've got a copy somewhere, but can't find it!
